  1. On 11th November Poland celebrates National Independence Day. This special day in the history of our country seems to be a perfect date to announce the model kit of an aircraft which played major role in Polish Air Force history during the World War II. Deep analysis of documentation, a pursuit of perfection in each detail and struggle with getting the complex surface detail correct - have eventually paid off. After many hours of conversations, planning, prototyping, modelling and fitting, our PZL P.11c in 1/32 scale is finally ready. We are very excited that we will are able to produce this model, and hope that you are pleased with it as well. The P.11c begins the Silver Limited Edition line. The kit does not only have a fancy box-art but also includes separate metal gun barrels, 82 photo-etched elements, 4 marking options, A4 poster, PZL logo sticker and two discs including museum photos and original manual. Here are a few photos of the new kit. Please visit our website, www.silverwings.pl to see all the parts photos of this exciting new kit and for ordering information. Sincerely, The Silver Wings Team

  5. At Silver Wings, we are always focused on providing high-quality kits of interesting subjects for our friends and customers. For 2015, we are pleased to announce some changes that we hope you find as exciting as we do! A long-awaiting kit, the previously announced Fokker D.XXI is now available to buy, and the PZL P.11 is almost ready and will become available during next two months. As we continue to branch out and expand our subject matter from our "silver wing" roots, we also have a couple surprises coming for fans of Italian and Russian aircraft. We have also made some changes to the design of both our instructions and boxes which we hope you will like! Additionally, we are pleased to announce a new category of Silver Wings Kit - the Silver Limited Edition kit. The concept with these kits will be subjects which we feel deserve a little something extra. The Silver Limited Edition kits will include a distinctive box design with original "in motion" drawings, a high-quality printed poster, additional metal parts (such as gun barrels), and increased amount of available markings included in the box. Silver Limited Edition kits will be produced in a very limited series which from definition will not be repeated once sold-out. Speaking of new kits, we are pleased to be able to kick off 2015 with our first new kit of the year, the Fokker D.XXI. It has three colorful markings schemes - two Dutch and one German. 7. BlackRoger, I think it's only a matter of time
  8. Dear Friends and Customers, Since the beginning of work on the Fokker DXXI and PZL P.11, we rightly assumed that they would be very ambitious projects. We want to give modellers a thrill while opening these boxes. The size and complexity of the models, which are their key advantages, have a decisive influence on the course of a production. Now, nearly completing the work, we can see how many details still need to be fixed. Releasing such historically significant subjects, we must make sure that any errors are eliminated to a level allowing full enjoyment of the box' content. Looking realistically at the current progress and remaining workload, we came to the conclusion that we need a little more time. The team is working at the maximum speed but we need additional few weeks and therefore have to move the Fokker DXXI's release date forward to the end of January. We feel that we owe you apologies for this. We admit we set the initial date too soon and it is our lesson for the future. We duly apologize and we thank you for the support you show us every day. We really appreciate it. It gives us extra strength. The Silver Wings Team

  17. As many of you know, in the past Silver Wings has primarily released kits of British, Italian and German inter-war/early war aircraft. We have heard from many of our friends and customers asking that we expand our kit subjects to also include US inter-war/early war aircraft. We have always maintained that Silver Wings is a company "by modelers, for modelers". As such, we have taken this feedback to heart and have been working very hard to respond to this request, and are pleased to have been able to release the iconic Boeing Stearman/Kadet recently. However, we don't think we can stop there and still satisfy the needs of our friends and customers for US inter-war/early war aircraft kits. As such, we are extremely pleased to be able to announce to our friends and customers our latest kit. We hope that you all will be as excited as we are with our newest kit, the 1/32 Curtiss P-6E Hawk! Starting in 1925 with the P-1, Curtiss built a long series of fighters carrying the name "Hawk." Of the eight different P-6 models produced, the P-6E remains the best known. Originally designated the Y1P-22, the U.S. Army Air Corps redesignated this aircraft the P-6E because of its similarity to the other P-6s. Curtiss delivered 46 P-6E Hawks, the last biplane fighter built in quantity for the Air Corps. Never used in combat, the P-6E is recognized as one of the most beautiful aircraft of the 1930s. The P-6E served between 1932 and 1937 with the 1st Pursuit Group (17th and 94th PS) at Selfridge, and with the 8th Pursuit Group (33rd PS) at Langley Field, Virginia. The kit will feature the famous "Owl" markings of the 17th Pursuit Squadron, 1st Pursuit Group, Selfridge Field, Michigan, 1932 as well as marking for the 94th Pursuit Squadron, Selfridge Field, Michigan, 1930 and the 33rd Pursuit Squadron, 8th Pursuit Group, Virginia Beach Summer Camp, July 1934 Please be sure to check out website, www.silverwings.pl, for updates and additional information on this exciting new kit! The kit is available for purchase from our distributors or in direct sales (silverwings@silverwings.pl). Thank you, The Silver Wings Team P.S.
