  1. Hi there. I would like to share my latest build of the Sea Lynx Mk 90B (RDAF) End of june I was visiting Helicopterwing Karup i Denmark, and had a tour of their facilities. They are keeping the RDAF fleet of Helicopters in shape for their duties. Today the fleet concists of Aerospatiale AS-555 Fennec (12), Agusta Westland EH-101 Merlin (13) SH-60 Seahawk (3) 6 on order. And of course the Westland Sea Lynx Mk 90B (8) So I just wanted to do this build of the danish Lynx before they are being taken out of service. Manual on the Lynx... Aftermarket from Eduard, paint from Mr. Paint and Rivets from HGW as the Revell kit is without any? So, I began building immediately after the visit.
  2. Visited the Danish Air Museum today, and went by the restoration hangar to get an update on the progress on the Fairey Firefly... I know, it's very yellow...
  3. Agreed! It's really nice to work with and you get so much in return, by using the real deal...
  4. Wow! Looking forward to follow this build... Regards: Kent

  6. Regional Modelling Contest 'Oestjysk Open' Randers, Denmark - 03. april 2016 1. Prize - Class B Aircraft, Helicopters & everything else flying, Diorama. 1. Prize - Event Organisers favourite - Best Model/Diorama.
  7. Today I'm still a bit 'shaken' from yesterday's regional modelling contest here i Denmark (Oestjysk Open) - I really didn't expect this!
  8. No, don't misunderstand me, the PE set from Part is absolutely very nice, I just don't know how to assemble the microscopic louvers and get a nice result... I would not be happy if I was to end up with something like this (No offence!) Unfortunately Eduard doesn't do the Wolseley Viper, their PE Louvers are very nicely manufactured... You just turn the louvers, and voila!
  9. Thanks, yes i used Roden's allthough there aren't that many differences, except from the front of course...
  10. Some photos of the 'Stressed skin' approach... It's not perfect, but definitely more 'authentic' - Nothing 'nice' here...
  11. The louvered part... As you can see I've managed to make some in 0.3 mm plasticard, but they are still a bit 'heavy' Kent
  12. Anyone has an idea how to make the front grill???? I really would like to be able to see through. (I've got the Part (Poland) PE set but I cannot see how I am supposed to assemble it without it looking like crap!!!
  13. Hello Gent's So I'm continuing the S.E.5a build here, were it belongs. Today I managed to get a little work done on the wolseley cowling/nose parts. Trying to get the details right... The parts for the Wolseley nose... A new engine cover made from aluminium... The S.E.5a rebuild in New Zealand by 'The Vintage Aviator'
  14. Thank's. I think your'e right and I even have the papers to prove it! Just couldn't resist, I just had to try another one....
  15. Some closeups of details... No Photoetch or Aftermarket parts, as this was only supposed to be a test build. Verlinden Bomber Crew and a Tamiya Jeep...
  16. Hello Guy's, as promised, I would like to share some of my earlier work, with you I call it 'Tribute to Sheperd Paine', and I think most of you will know his wonderful and inspiring work. Sadly he passed away last year. This was a Monogram kit I purchased around 1979. At the time, I was determined to try and replicate the diorama of the crashed B-17 made by Sheperd Paine. But my skills were not up to the task and the project stalled... It was also one of my last projects, before giving up the scale modelling for good... So times went by, 30 years or so, before I finally returned to scale modelling. A lot of new stuff was going on, and I wanted to try some of the many new techniques... And why not try them on this? But in front of me was a very steep learning curve of new skills, and of course you cannot pick everything up on one project. Some scratched parts and modifications, vaccum formed canopies, new Panel lines etc... It's my first try at painting with an airbrush, salt weathering, oil paint weathering, printing my own decals etc. This is also my first diorama, working with modelling clay, grass, sculpting etc... I'm pretty satisfied with the end result (finished in 2013). But of course I still have a lot to learn, so please don't be too hard in your jugment... I think I will get the 'hang' of it, eventually. I'm happy that I finally, after all those years, did accomplish my 'Tribute to Sheperd Paine'.... Here are some photos, taken yesterday...

  18. So this is one of my on-going projects, I would like to share with you... It's been on the bench, on and off for quite some time now, well originally I bought it around 1978-79. About a year ago, around the time I heard about the upcoming HK Model 1/32 Lancaster, I decided to take it apart and start over again, using it as a test build, to improve my detailing skills... Getting to know the Lancaster. First my scratched cockpit interior.... I'm not to comfortable with the 1/48 scale, it really is difficult to detail this. Only After Market Assessories are Eduard Seatbelts... These are photos from around a year ago, I will upload some more of the build later, when I get the time...
