  1. Did some looking around and have a set of TwoBobs decals for a Golden State Griffin F-16C I can donate:
  2. My mom and I had the same problem back when we were heavily collecting books. I, being more of a nerd and used to making stupid lists, already had lists of books I was looking for that I could at least check off, but my mother was starting to come home with repeats. We were getting into the hundreds of books at that point and there was no digital technology to help us yet. Truth is, even now that the tech exists I have yet to use a book database to organize my collection. It's just there aren't very many used bookstores around these days so I don't buy as much anymore.
  3. Thanks. I built all that shelving myself. I have no proper carpentry training but know how to use power tools and follow instructions. I also have over 2000 books in this room and it is very hard to find affordable bookshelves to hold that much, so that plus being a DIY idiot I designed and built what would utilize the space best. All those years of designing dungeons for role-playing games trained me in the creation of blueprints.
  4. Until May, my face was bare. Then, my previous job started mandating masks (the younger night staff kept coming in with exposure and it caused a panic) and I realized, why the hell am I shaving if no one at work can see my face? Fortunately my wife is cool with the new hair as she likes the red running through it. This is me in my 'book and music library/model display/virtual classroom' and personal chamber.
  5. I bought the Trumpeter versions of the B-2 and G-2, mostly because they happened to be on an insane discount. As far as accuracy the front is a bit undersized and a quick Google will bring up many articles on that issue, however the Hasegawas have their own quirks and the Revell kits are still the old molds, I believe. Any of them will fool most of your visitors and will likely pass the 6-foot rule so it depends on how much you want to fuss with them. Trumpeter offers an A, B-2, B2/U4, D, G-2, and R. Hasegawa offers the D, D-5, D-8, and G. Revell the B-2 and D. According to scalemates.com. The B-2 I built ended up closer to a B-1 in several respects and I didn't do anything about the nose (maybe on the G) and it has fooled all those who have entered my display area which is good enough for me (WARNING: the kit bomb load is FUBAR). I didn't build the Hasegawa kits because they weren't the right price at the time; Trumpeter was. I built the Revell kit sometime back in the late 1970's and all I can say about it is that it was probably shot down by the U.S.S. Missouri along the southern edges of Pensacola Bay soon after construction.
  6. Yes. Will look to see if I have anything to donate. Been doing more building than buying lately.
  7. Then please explain how in areas where people have been behaving themselves, and have done so since the beginning, the cases are rising at the same rate or even faster than in areas where they have not.
  8. Looks about the same as what is on my Stuka, and that was painted with Mr. Hobby.
  9. It's also the opinion of a lot of medical professionals who are being ignored by governments. The world leaders are so fixated on the 'Zero Deaths' solution, which is an impossibility, that they hang onto in the hopes it will all be justified in the end. http://www.bgdeclaration.org
  10. Well, regardless of where people stand, I prefer a more reasoned approach to all of this which is why I support professionally-esteemed doctors like Martin Kulldorff and Jay Bhattacharya, because they and their fellows have thought about the consequences of a sustained lockdown and know it is another example of cure worth than the disease. Dr. Fauci was supposed to offer a 0%-death rate scenario which can never actually be achieved when you consider SARS and HIV let alone seasonal flu, and that's what he has done. But it will wreck society getting there and even he has acknowledged that. He wasn't asked to worry about saving society; just lives. Lives sell better than the economy. Politicians and media used the '0% or bust' rhetoric to fearmonger people into staying inside months past the original 15-day plan. "Stay inside; it's the patriotic thing to do!" If they keep us cooped up inside our 'caves' they best hope we don't transform into Morlocks because that didn't go too well for those on top. You'd think a platform that often likes to promote sustainability wouldn't go for a policy that is unsustainable.
  11. Ha, I was editing my post when you replied. Wanted to add a few more things I remembered. I saw the notification pop up and was like, "What's he going to think when my post completely changes from what he just read in no time at all?"
  12. There have been quite a few posts about it. Are you aware they are offering resin accessories for various areas for those want the full experience? The base kit I believe is mostly closed up for those who complain about paying for stuff you never see. As I really want to display the bomb bay open that might be the set I spring for; I don't do anything that requires my model be picked up and peered into so I don't really do engines or cockpits too much. I guess we'll see if the kit is worth the price for the basic alone considering. I believe there will be two boxings as well, one being Pacific schemes and the other Atlantic?
  13. There is a consortium of medical experts around the world who want the lockdowns to end before the global situation gets worse, but I am pretty sure it's a bit late for a lot if people. Glad I don't work for Regal Cinema. Among other places. This sucks, man.
