Born and raised near Cape Town, South Africa then moved to the States in 1998 for Graduate School at UCDavis. Lived in South Africa for four more years but immigrated to US in 2007 because my American wife wanted to be here. Operating a small business with a colleague and help raising my daughter (7 yrs old), do most household chores, but also make time for modeling, classical guitar and photography. Having built models as a child, I thought I'd like to try again in 2011 and have built about 20 thus far. I love the hobby and am glad places like this exist to exchange ideas and meet like-minded friends who don't consider model planes kids' stuff. I focus on 1:32 and 1:48 WWII  aircraft and modern jets.
