I'm sipping some right now.  Its different.  Kind of peppery. Strong flavor. Has a bite to it. Not unpleasant.....harv

Beats what my son said after he tried a sip of my Scotch one night.

"Ahhh!!!  It burns!!!"

Not one of my favorites. Don't think I get this one again. To far of my preference taste of Bourbon. I did pick this up today. Any thoughts on it ?....harv

Haven't picked up anything new in a while as I've got way too much.

I am curious to hear about new bourbons and scotches though.

Sounds like you need to have a few fellers over to help you with that problem, there, Carl!!

I spot a Balvenie in there Carl, that's my favourite of the Speyside malts. Clean, smooth taste as opposed to the Islay malts which I also love and are heavy on the iodine/seaweed end of things.

Had some old friends come visit the new house last month. The husband brought me a bottle of Buffalo Trace.  I managed to get a glass that night to try it out. Glad I did as he managed to almost finish off the bottle he brought me!  He left me one more sample in the bottle for Sunday afternoon.

Stopped at the red dot store on my way home last Friday.  Got more of my Scotch, but they were all out of Buffalo Trace.

That's ok Phil. Its a common mistake. Having moved from sunny scunny in Lincolnshire to northern Scotland, i had to learn all this. The local area is rife with distillerys

Alan I only drink Scotch and not to particular to whether Scottish or Irish but my neighbor got out at the BX on base some from a small Island on about 200 people were the refinery was just revived.I think it came in a orange sleeve and boy was that some smooth stuff .I typically have 2/3 drinks with blend and finish with some good.My neighbor treats me like his son and drops off a bottle of single malt about once a month sometimes I have two or three bottles just a waiting.:)
