Sprue Brothers Announcment: 1/32 F4 Phantoms

Recommended Posts

I just read this announcement on Sprue Brothers website:

In partnership with Phantom Phreaks, we have been working on a very special project that we can finally announce - a new family of 1:32 F-4 Phantom kits. Twelve (12) versions are planned beginning in 2022. Tentatively the first release will be the F-4B. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.

If this is really going to happen, I couldn't ask for more

Keep 'em comin

This could get...

Guess I better get going on the Tamiya ones in the stash so I'll be burned out on Phantoms by the times these come out. At least that way my wallet will thank me.

He also mentioned that they are looking to release it in the spring of next year. The cost is around $300.00.

In which case they are in the same ballpark as a Tamiya Phantom with all the bells and whistles to make it an up-to-date 1/32 replica.

I hear you Mark.  I am in the same boat.    I would like the 4-B but not at $300.00.

Nice conversation kit.  Often wondered why Gary didn’t just make an entire new part.  Now that the build has some age on it, there is some shrinkage on the seam.  In the right lighting it can be seen.
