Awesome paint work and a fantastic tutorial; on how to use masks. I bought the DN mask set for the Viggen (still waiting of course) and I now have a good idea of how to use them. Much appreciated the time and pics.

Peter, you're welcome! I learned to use paint masks years ago when I painted RC car bodies all the time.

One thing I highly recommend is getting a roll of transfer tape. It's a low tack film that you use to transfer the masks from the backing sheet to the model. They help keep things aligned and in place and reduce the chance of the mask sticking to itself when you least expect it.  They can be a bit hard to get used to using (mostly when trying to get the mask off the backing paper) but once you do they're well worth it.

Thanks Carl

I'll add it to my next order for supplies.

Thanks again for the tutorial - perfect timing for all of us who bought the Viggen and the DN mask set and never used paint masks before - especially me!

Keep 'em comin
