BlrwestSiR Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Hopefully a simple and quick build. Definitely not the biggest car in the world: Here it is with an 6th gen Honda Civic for comparison: 5
Landlubber Mike Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Cool looking car, looking forward to seeing it come alive. I'm a big fan of these small two-seater roadsters. 2 1

Had to be the biggest squirrel I've ever seen. Completely unafraid of humans too as it came right up to us to see if we had any food. It was at least 3x the size of the Beat. Maybe 4x 3 3
BlrwestSiR Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 What engine is that running? I know there was a turbo kit available at one point but that looks nuts. 3
BlrwestSiR Posted January 30 Author Posted January 30 First try at painting the body has been a failure. Bunch of dust and particles in the paint. Of course the chassis came out fine. I'm going to sand back the body and try again. 3 3

Hayabusa 4 cylinder , 13xxx ccm Painting cars with metallic paint is completely different ballgame. Fingers crossed it will work out on second try. Cheers Martin 1 1
BlrwestSiR Posted January 30 Author Posted January 30 Ah, that makes sense. It's the equivalent of putting an LS in everything. Have you seen the 1st gen Smart ForTwo that had a Hayabusa swap? Goes like stink down a dragstrip. 2
DocRob Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Bummer with the dust, Carl. The color looks like what I had in mind of your car. Cheers Rob 1 1

Parking lot donuts look like more fun than you should be allowed with your pants on. 2
BlrwestSiR Posted February 6 Author Posted February 6 This one has been slow to progress. The second try at painting the body ended up with more dust in the paint. Same with go #3 Finally, on my fourth kick at the can, I go something decent. Now hopefully I can make more progress. 6
DocRob Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Wow Carl, four times, I wouldn´t have had the patience. Luckily, it looks good now and progress will be more trouble free from now on. Cheers Rob 1 1
BlrwestSiR Posted Saturday at 10:06 PM Author Posted Saturday at 10:06 PM One more to add to this. This is from Neko. It's a cartoon style solid resin model of the Beat. 1 2
DocRob Posted Saturday at 11:53 PM Posted Saturday at 11:53 PM Cute Carl, an Egg-Beat . Cheers Rob 1 2
BlrwestSiR Posted Sunday at 04:54 AM Author Posted Sunday at 04:54 AM I've got a few of these cars. I forgot I had them as they were stashed with my very stalled Seafire 47. One to go with your current thread Rob: 3
BlrwestSiR Posted Sunday at 05:01 AM Author Posted Sunday at 05:01 AM Back to the Beat(s), I masked and sprayed the windshield frames. 5
DocRob Posted Sunday at 08:44 AM Posted Sunday at 08:44 AM Very neat. If you ever need some body color for the Cobra Coupe... . Yours is definitely the simpler kit by far . Cheers Rob 3
BlrwestSiR Posted Sunday at 09:34 PM Author Posted Sunday at 09:34 PM Thanks Rob. It's definitely easier than yours. Just 1 part so there shouldn't be any alignment worries. 2
