Hi Cees.

I removed the original structure in the wheel wells and replaced it by them from Eduard.

I have a picture from such wheel wells in one of my books..... Have to search after it.

Thank you for the nice comment.

Cheers,

Jamme

Hello Gent's,

It week-end and after working for the lady, in the garden, I had a little time for modeling.

So I started painting the upper surfaces.

Started with the brown (Gunze H72) than made somme variations in it with black and the white.

After drying, I began to mask for the camo using Postit notes.

When half of the plane was masked, I painted the remaining in green (Gunze H73)

Removed the masks immediately after painting and here is the result ......:

THe shading on the green is a little bit too much, considering the brown.

But as I will weather it, I don't think it will much be seen.

Tomorrow the other side then varnish and starting the codes, roundels, etc.

Thank you for looking.

If there is something that is not good, please tell me, I'm opne to constructive comments.

Cheers,

Jamme

Looking good, Jamme! I'm personally not a fan of empasizing every panelline but the colours look very good and the paint lies beautifully on the airframe. I'm indeed very curious how the rest of the weathering and markings will turn out. Most probably great!

I have this kit in the stash too, planning to build it as an aircraft of No. 167 (Gold Coast) Sqn RAF that was reformed in June 1943 as No. 322 (Dutch) Sqn RAF.

Will it leave to dry for a few hours, then put a coat of Tamiya Clear.

Hope you like.

Thank you for looking.

Ideas, C.C. comments and questions always welcome.

I like it Jamme! Very nice indeed .... I've got this in my stash (the 2nd model I bought when coming back to modelling in fact) but will probably follow Rick's example and get the resin replacements.

Hobby Boss really ought to have issued a correction set in my mind ... That was an awful mistake to make.

really nice work Jamme,  the shading has turned out exceptional.  BTW nice job on the stabilizer correction. I may take lazy man's out and buy the resin replacements.

Thank you rick for the nice comment!

Thank you Grant!

It is not really a problem to fix.

Sand flat and made rivets, that's all.

Easy to do.

Cheers,

Jamme

Wonderful looking. I'm hoping I can find one of these cheap in a couple of weeks. This build has sold me on this kit to fill my Mk. V need.
