Looks good so far and like many Brits, I'm still waiting for the delivery of my 'pre-order'

I for one will be watching with interest and already have ideas of how things need to be checked and improved such as the IP from Airscale

Very soon (within the next week) as I need to complete the interior.

Ok, it's been a while, so here's some photos. They are pretty self-explanatory, so if you do have questions, just fire away.

Here you can see Airscale's excellent PE upgrade in place. WELL WORTH the asking price!

Hairspray technique for internal floor painting.

At this point, I still need to paint all the radio sets and add them, so things will look a lot busier.

Brilliant, just brilliant.

I am so pleased I have the PE panel. I just hope I can do it justice and will be using your build as a guide. The guage surrounds hand painted or a decal?

Regards,

Regards,

The coloured rings are hand painted. The square surrounds are masked and airbrushed.

Airscale supply the FUEL part as a decal though, and those red tabs, plus the main placard.

Other placards are from Airscale's Cockpit Placard set.

You made me a very proud man this morning Mr Hatch..

Absolutely stunning modelling and the first time I have seen this set used in anger :)

Perfect job - can't wait to see more :)

Looking mighty good, great job with the inner fuselage painting and the IP looks fantastic. You almost convinced me to get rid of my self casted spell about staying away from these four engine behemoths, almost……………..

Cheers Rob

I am suitably impressed with your results so far !

Was there any fit issues with any of the parts ??

Does the hairspray lift paint random to indicate chipping ??

Is there a colour call out for items such as the undercarriage or is that your own interpretation ??

As always, looking forward to see you build more  . . . .

Do you know which aircraft you are going to represent ? G-George perhaps ??

No, this will be S-Sugar.

There have been a small number of parts fit issues, but minor, and as a result of this being a set shot that still needed some fixing. Production kits should be just fine.

Peter, my order is forthcoming. It is obviously a 100% improvement on the kit parts.

I’m truly stunned.

And James, amazing work as usual, sir.

Exactly my type of weathering ...

Peter's upgrade sets are in a class by themselves
