Tamiya F4U-1D Corsair: Update: 2/1019

Recommended Posts

Looking great Peter, after all these obstacles she's coming together finely. The blue has a nice shine and with some contrasting decals will be marvelous.
Fingers crossed for the spar thing

Cheers Rob

Thanks Rob

Very much appreciated and I'm hoping the same. Really won't know until the very end.

Misha

Great to see you on LSM as every day more and more of the old gang is coming over.

Thank you for the very kind comments on my progress.

I love that shade of blue, what brand of paint you're using Peter. The surface seems to be ultra smooth, as always.

Cheers

Thanks Martin

The Blue I use on the Corsair is a 1:1 Mix of Mr Color 326 Blue and 328 Blue. The mix is then heavily thinned with Mr Color Leveling Thinner plus 4-5 drops of Mild Retarder.
