Hi Guy's Just want to share my latest project with you all.

It's been on the Bench for a while but now I'm pretty sure I've put the 'worst' behind me... A 'skeletal' Fokker Dr. I.

I've used Aviattic's rudder and wire wheels from Part's photo etch, the rest is scartched...

The wings are also coming along nicely...

Kent, which kit is this??

Not really a kit Jeff, I'm using the Roden kit as a guide and I will be using a few parts along the way. The rudder is from Aviattic, the wire wheels from Part and the turnbuckles from RB Productions the rest is scratched from styrene profiles. The wing spars have been made as silicone molds and cast in resin...

Kent, coming from you I should have known it was probably scratched, I've followed your builds for a LONG time and this is nothing short of phenomenal..... I will be watching this closely, I love what you can do, and maybe along the way I just might learn something I could actually do myself...... beautiful work as usual....

Popcorn time, I love your project Kent. Some month ago I thought about something similar but shied back because I questioned my ability and stored the idea in a very remote area of my brain.

Cheers Rob

Thank you Rob. I think most modellers are dreaming of doing something like this, I know I have, and for many years too.

I knew it would be difficult and the project has brought me to the farthest corners of my skills, even to the point of giving up on the rigging of the fuselage, only to be 'saved' by the turnbuckles from Radu...

Cheers: Kent

Indeed, so have I and after several attempts WNW decides to step in...... Oh well.

Really enjoying your Fokker Kent.

It's time for a little update.

Been working on the wings on an off, trying to get an acceptable finish before painting.

So I'm starting to add some wood grain to the spars and ribs, keeping it light.

I intend to use Uschi von der Rosten veneer decals for the leading edges of the wings...
