KITTY HAWK Mirage 2000 Family (1/32)

Recommended Posts

If all goes well, it's going to be a hot autumn for some gentlemen...

Preliminary distributor release date: August 2019 (Mirage 2000C)

  • KH32020 - MIRAGE 2000 C (single-seater boxing)
  • KH32022 - MIRAGE 2000 D/N (combined twin-seater boxing)

Mirage 2000C boxart:

To date, one can only speculate whether the C boxing will also contain the necessary parts to build a Mirage 2000-5.
(box says "C", artwork shows a "-5" with a 2000C vertical tail)

Recently published CAD renderings of the Mirage 2000C:

It'll be interesting to see which marking options will be included. An almost limitless plethora of colourful special schemes.

And now bring on the Ouragans and Mystères!
Or an MS.760 Paris...

Yeah, the Greeks do a great line in grubby airframes. Pity they only fly the single seaters as this is one kit where I'd really go for the dual-holer.

Never built a KH kit and I know they have some real Marmite reviews but this one will be seriously tempting.

Tanguy and Laverdure, heroes of my childhood. Always loved their stories in the German 'Zack-Magazin'. Got warped back in times by that picture :thumbsup2:

Cheers Rob

TANGUY et LAVERDURE, Dan Cooper, Buck Danny (Rex Danny in Germany), Michel Vaillant, Lieutenant Blueberry, Gentlemen GmbH...
Between 1975 and 1980, I must have have spent all my pocket money on ZACK and Buck Danny comics. Fond memories.

I hear you...

You can't have enough Fougas. Just sayin'...  ^_^
(I need at least two DACO kits)

One, maybe two 2000Ds. As to the single-seater, I need to see the sprues first. If it's going to be a "2000C-only" boxing, I'm out...
I'll know for sure when I see the plastic.

One of my personal favourites - "Cote d'Or" Mirage 2000-5F in experimental three-tone grey camo:

There are enough beautiful color scheme's on Mirage 2000C's and D's/N's. The French always where busy guy's when it came to nice color scheme's. The choice will be hard to make which i will do......:hsmack:

Happy times, indeed.
1/32nd is the perfect scale for a Mirage 2000 or a Fouga Magister. Not too small, not too big. Just about right.

I've also got a feeling about Kitty Hawk. But let's see some plastic first...  Evil Smile emote

Lovely to "C" you - Mirage 2000C (RDI), EC 2/12 "Picardie":

Just pull out your modeling common sense, and research the exact aircraft you want to build before starting the build.  Sometimes the add-on details such as electronics, ejection seats, weapons stations, sensor locations, etc, are generic on KH. Mix and match the parts to get your exact ship.

you'll be rewarded with an amazing piece when finished.

A word to the wise, KH, for some reason, believeth not in intake trunking to what are often beautifully executed and detailed jet engines....
