Krow, I agree.  It’s a great time to be a builder of 1/32 scale aircraft. Never have we had so much love from so many manufacturers.  We can trash Tamiya all day long for their adoption of 1/35,

Keeping modelling news 2021 hot here`s one from Buchon Models:   Hispano Me-109 E conversion for 1:32 Me-109 Eduard kit.

and This one I had to have it in a separate post!!!   For all Star WArs fans and Mandalorian nuts,  the RAZOR CREST in 1:72!!!!!   Only in October 2021.

A "new" Fieseler Fi 103 V1 (Cooperation with Special Hobby)

And for me the most wanted for me:

1:48 SR-71!!

1:35 Panther (exICM)

T-34/85 (cooperation with ICM)

Thanks for posting Fran, my favorite is also the SR-71 and I hope they get it right. The other (re-) releases are not very tempting to me :2c:.

Cheers Rob

Great post, Fran!  I'm intrigued by the 1/35 109 and Stuka.  I would never do it, but I can see lots of ppl planning Dio's of them crashed in front of Allied vehicles.

Sadly, it seems that Revell is just the home of repops.

I do not know this seemingly new company Border, but they seem managed by a marketing « genius » ...

1) a Me-109 G-6 ...yaaaaaawnnnnn

2) a Ju-87 G ...  yaaaaaawnnnnn agaiiiiinnn

But then , wait, in 1/35 scale :wtf: !
Frankly, I doubt you will see many dios with either Axis or Allied hardware, just like I have yet to see many dios with 1/35 helicos and armour.

What a waste of resources and money :rtfm:

Having seen what GWH have done with Russian jets, I definitely will be getting the P-40, and no doubt on the SR-71. Razor crest is one I want, but it depends who is doing it.

I didnt really notice the 1/35 right away...

because

WHO DOES THAT!!!!!!!????????????

Well, Bronco did the opposite and released a T-34 in 1/32 recently.

* As in T-34 Russian tank and not the trainer plane.

Its almost like industry influencers are on glue.

The good news is they realize the shrinking (rapidly) demographic has $$ and will buy.

Unfortunatly its the usual 109190T34STUKASPITFIREETC.

Always leaving out the most desired mark of airframe or edition.

I'm really finding it hard to understand the hate (especially elsewhere) for mainstream aircraft subjects modelled in 1/35th scale. Not merely "I would never buy this", but "I hope they fail".

There must be at least a dozen 1/35 figure sets from multiple Manufacturers that can be easily modified to maintenance or Ordnance loading crews. Similarly vehicles; Italeri fuel tanker, Tamiya Citroen Avant and Opel Blitz, ICM Opel Kadett or Mercedes autos. Why on Earth would you use a Panther Tank in an Aircraft diorama with so many other options available? Use your imagination people!

I was thinking also that having options in 1/35 might make for some cool diorama scenes, instead of folks trying to figure out if they can work 1/32 and 1/35 into a scene.

I’ve never gotten how the armor guys  enveloped and adopted 1/35 as their standard scale. It’s just all kinds of odd.

I read somewhere long ago that it was Mr.Tamiya's need to fit batteries that drove the scale.

I may take the opp for silly remarks , but as long as the subject is interesting I could'nt care less what scale it is.

We are def in the strongest era of the hobby , right on top of the crest of the wave.

WNW was a game changer for sure , guys who would crap their undies at the thought of a WW1 plane model are up to the same undies in builds and kits.

Proving that well made , well designed and buildable kits will sell , the demographic demands better kits and will buy them.

So if manufacturers want to loosen up the rules then bring it on , so far its been worth it.
