[Hansa-Brandenburg W.12 (early)]

Finished my WnW Hansa-Brandenburg W.12.

Beautiful kit, built mostly OOTB. Added some small details in the rear cockpit (log book, compass, pencil, Flares, etc.)

 

Model Master paints, markings from the kit, GasPatch turnbuckles, EZline rigging. Heavily weathered (after all, it was based on the North Sea coast) with oils and chalk pastels. 

 

Most fun I've had in years building and finishing a model.

Fuselage closed up, engine finished and glued in place, pe mg's constructed, seams sanded and polished. Next up is painting and decaling the fuselage. 

What a fun kit to build! The switch to 1/32 scale was painless! LOL

Test fitting the engine......took maybe 6 hours over the last 2 days.

The build is going well.....amazing fit but tolerances are exacting....

Next up will be to close the fuselage.....finished with wood grain decals from ‎Uschi van der Rosten, over coated with Tamiya clear orange and yellow.

The starting point of my entry is the WnW H-B W.12, that was released last year. The only extras I will add are a few scratch built details plus Gaspatch turnbuckles and ‎Uschi van der Rosten wood grain decals. EZ line for the small amount of rigging required.
