"Are you still milling some of your engine parts now and then?"
Sorry that question came out of nowhere. Back in the day on the Aredrome forume you were pointing out some of the parts you were milling for your Mercedes D.IIIa.

I had asked for a set back then but life intervied and I never got a chance to pick them up from you.
I now have a cnc mill and am wondering if you would be willing to share youre cad file so I might make a set form myself. Im also wondering if you have milled many other parts for your builds.
All the best!

Its a machinists height gauge. Really quite useful for marking cut lines and the like besides its original purpose of measuring. Ive used one many a time but never to create a scribe in plastic.
nicely done!
Are you still milling some of your engine parts now and then?

This may not be the right place to ask, but im looking at ordering polymide tubing with similar specs to what bertl has sugested. Unfortuatly th minimum order is for 16 pieces at 48", far more than a lifetimes worth. Would anyone here be interested picking up a pice from me if I made an order?
Thanks

Oh, a general question, Ive seen asbestos wrapping on some manifolds, was this common, or just on some machines? its a nice detail to add if its relevant. but im not sure if it was a rarity.

Awesome post yet again. I had a couple of questions for you.
A few years ago when you were posting on the aerodrome forum you had offed me a set of you're cnc Albatros parts. I disappeared for a couple years and am just getting back into the hobby, but id love to take you up on the offer if you still have a set. i know you were only making a few so I completely understand if they are long gone.
Regardless id love to know more about the other parts youve made with the mill and how it fits into you're detailing.
Also i wanted to find out about your source for the small springs on the engine and seat belts. Are you hind winding them or have you found a good source for small diameter springs?
All the best!

Really nice jig!
I think I may need to give a try at making one myself. Do you find the set lengths do what you need, or are you sometimes looking to make lengths in between the fixed points?
oh and thanks so much for the fantastic tips you have been posting. the are as inspiring as they are informative.
