I've built one too and still have 2 in the stash. But I'm waiting on a XIV conversion before I build them.

Do you insist on a conversion for the Tamiya or would a (fantastic) resin conversion for the PCM Mk.IXc fit the bill?

Apologies for highjacking your thread JohnB.

For giggles and grins I was watching an Academy Block 50/52 kit on eBay last week because of that nice decal and stencil kit I bought.  Auction started out around $50.  It sold for $189.00. :wtf:

I know the kit is out of production, but Academy just brought back the SUFA.  I’m sure they will do the same for the single seat models too. I was going to add #8 to the stash if I could have snagged it for under $90

Hannant's just got the F-16I Sufa in - GBP 119, need to sleep a night over it B)

With all this talk about NSI and MLG, I guess this is Viper talk, a mysterious and often neglected dialect of “non propeller” language, often practiced at Viper worship rituals................is there a book I need to read..........:respect:

Don't bother, I didn't understand the Viper dialect either, and even lessons taken at evening schools didn't help me to understand it completely till today.....

  4. I have the Tamiya F-16CJ with all the bells and whistles to build a Block 52, but then I guess I still have to take care of the different MLG one way or another. Around here neither the Academy nor the Tamiya F-16C are available anywhere and Ernie is right, shipping from across the big pond would kill any deal. Although, building one of the early ones from this decal sheet is indeed more than tempting ;)

  5. I was waiting for this one as well, but unfortunately HB put the wrong engines in it - obviously a PW 2600 rather than a PW 2800, 14 vs. 18 cylinders (as can be seen on the HB website showing the sprues). So you need AM replacement engines  in the first place and hoping you can make them fit. But as you said, get it, sit down and wait for the AM guys to do their jobs - and hope they don't ignore it like they did with the Mirage 2000 so far.

  6. Congratulations, seems you've made the right choice - but 10 years is peanuts. I've been married to SWMBO for 43 years now, never regretted a minute and we lead a very interesting and never boring live. Lately, however, I made her believe I'm turning deaf - age related of course - and hey, it's great again!!! Nothing better than to have a trusted and loving partner on your side - especially in rough times!
