I've just read through this whole thread and not only am I blown away by your knowledge and understanding of the subject but most importantly by your sublime workmanship - that's perfect modelling at the highest level - I'll take a deep bow

I'm not much into AFV, but your choice and the remarkable work so fas has triggered my interest.

What is needed to build a LS Polish F-16? I know they're Block 52 aircraft with the P&W powerplant. What about the intake, small or large and what about the tyres and the wheel well cover? I guess my starting point needs to be the Tamiya F-16CJ Block 50, which I'm afraid doesn't have the parts for a Block 52. What aftermarket bits and pieces do I need to get? Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks, unfortunately I don't know too much about F-16s and need to be educated.
A short exchange with Ernie about the twin seater triggered the desire to build a single seater in Tiger Meet marking.

That's stunning work from the very first-step to where you are right now - I raise my hat !!

Gee, that looks indeed scaring. We have a solid +25°C and no rain in weeks, nature is drying out in my neck of the woods and we're considered to live in a moderate climate zone. Strange world.

What a survival story ! Hell yeah. Very different look on 109, I like the subtle weathering and very cultivated approach. Bravo !
Cheers

Thank you Martin. Since then I enjoy modelling a lot more than I did before Is it still cold and winterly in Alberta???

Thank you! It isn't a difficult kit to build so why not give it a try?
Yes, indeed, why not? But only long after your remarkable build is finished and there's no more chance to compare mine to yours

But you're obviously doing great in dealing with mistakes even if they're your own.

Lothar. That's the nicest 109 I've seen in a long time. The paint sure sets it off.
Did you use the AMUR Reaver nose set for it?
Thank you for the roses Ernie. As to your question, I've just replaced the gun barrels, the nose is Revell as it comes in the kit.

I've just received a sheet for the KH Mirage 2000-C from Hannants. My question is: Does someone here have any experience how they behave? The sheet hit the market just recently so my hope is they're behaving well and respond to my usual helpers Mark Setter and Mark Softer - which I use for years now with great results for all different brand decals. Any information will be highly appreciated.

That's a fascinating build and subject I'll follow with interest. As shame it seems the front row seats have all been taken by now

Fantastic progress. Not my kind of aircraft but your build triggers the "I like" button.

Last year I was admitted to hospital with acute kidney failure which was completed two days later with a complete liver failure. While in ICU I had a lot of time to think and made
a promise to myself: Should I somehow get out of this I'll be back at the modelling bench the day I get home. And did I keep the promise: 5 large scale models finished in less than 5 months. This was one of them:
It's the Revell G-6 kit with a few AM extras added like in the cockpit and the underwing guns. Paints are Gunze/Mr. Color, decals came from Sky (surprisingly good) and some home made masks from Tamiya tape. Hope you like what you see.

I'm almost done with my shopping 2020, I got both 32nd Mirage 2000-C and -D plus a few bits and pieces for them from BigH. But I sure would become weak if a new P-51B would show up - or a RAF Phantom.

That's most impressive work you show here, I do have a soft spot for the Corsair but don't have the gutts to pull one out. Can't wait for more progress, hats off!!!

Lothar, this is one of the nicest P-40 builds I've ever seen. Clean, crisp, realistically weathered, and just simply real looking.
respect, respect, respect
Thank you Ernie and all the others for the compliments. Shows me that my modelling is still quite acceptable!!

That's a true beauty, excellent paintjob and finish. One question if I may: Does the "Marine" boxing of the Tamiya kit come
with the same weapons as their -C/D kit?

Finished late last year but I hope she'll find some interest here:
This was pulled from the SOD but I felt the need to finish. Hope you like

As I said elsewhere, that's a stunning build with an immaculate finish. I wish I could come close to that level of perfection.

This is certainly one of the best P-47 models I've ever seen !!!!

I'll be following your build with great interest, I'm sure there's a lot I can learn from it.
I have a couple of Tamiya Spits, Mustangs and Corsairs in my stash, but shy away from building one them. They're engines are too beautiful IMHO to be hidden unterneath some covers, but adding detail to them for me is like waiting for my Mother in Law to visit.
So I'm looking forward to further progress.
