π Another 1/16 Tiger FA? - Is it a kit or rc ? Anyhoo , a few more things . - Adding some rivets to the turret bin , loadsa little holes & stretched sprue , they were snipped off , and 'rounded' with a quick pass of a lighter . hatch clasps not shown here , tiny things even in 1/16 , and only 6 pieces each ! Centre , Spare Aerial tube , made from brass tube and strip . Right , Voyager engine mesh screens - they were slightly oversize , so I 'reframed' them with scrap P.E. and added some pins to help locate them. Tow cables , HL's at the bottom . Could be better. . . Centre , Bowden cable I had in the stash , looks good but was is oversize, pooh. Top, Metal aftermarket ones , the cables have a decent weave texture but they are too long πΆ the eyelets are very roughly crimped on . these were removed after 'tinning' the ends with solder to stop them fraying, and the original HL ones drilled 'n glued on . They'll do . B.T.W. each cable holder is fabricated from P.E., 7 pieces for each one here , workable too. - I used to enjoy a bit of P.E. but am developing a healthy hate for this silliness π¬. Engine deck as well , only 4 bits each though. Gun cleaning rod holders too. - Fire extinguisher still awaiting straps , decal from Peddinghaus . Front hull stuff . The end is in sight ! (sorry , couldn't resist} And . . . time for some formation napping. Stay lucky folks , B. - Ciao.

βΊοΈ Ta 'smore- 15t jack , I had another white metal one somewhere . . Home made Kugel mount MG & the drivers visor getting some love . Fenders and reworked hatches . Because I'm going 'transport' I decided not to use the side skirts . Voyager copper track cable , with new brass collet and eyes. Cable hooks were bits of packing staple. On the left is the original (early) engine starter plate . My own reworked 'late' one , right . note the threaded starter holes π. - And fitted. - Ye gods , I need to get out more . Oh dear , there's still more ,oh yes lots lots more . ttfn. B.

For a break , some paint ! = and mucky tracks , Yay! More bits - Exhaust castings . New rear panel layout details. Lots more . . . B.

Some archive pic's of the carnage . . . Basic paint , I find red oxide too 'harsh' so use a chocolate brown over black primer . Sorry about the pic quality. Hull surgery - removal of side skirts , correctly centred turret ring and bits. Turret work includes reprofiling the horseshoe shape , narrowing the mantlet (single optic type), adding the '40mm' roof , late cupola , new hatch hinges , gunners visor , anti personnel mine launcher , ventilator and track hangers, and while I was at it , lowered the vision slits on the sides . . . Yadda yadda. . . .

Originally yes , but all that remains of it is the upper hul , even that has been reworked . With a chequered ancestry she is a real 'Moggy' Lower hull - Asiatam * Late wheels etc. - Torro i/r - recoil Turret - Taigen Transport tracks - fleabay , (possibly Asiatam) Spare turret track - Impact late type , on Schumo hangers. Voyager etch brass ( Aber is insanely fiddly and overcomplicated , I do have a life y'know ) Other stuff source from dealers on the interwebs . Plus the usual scratch built stuff , styrene , resin etc. the list goes on and on . All stuck together with lots of Anglo Saxon and liquid therapy . * I started this build back in 2011 π₯΄

After being in Hozzie and an annoying bout of recovery , I'm back π I'm still a bit fragile , and had to keep away from the playpen for a while . However , I couldn't resist , here is my old scratch built ISU - now with a Taigen metal chassis and HL 7.1 radio set u

The 'fugspech A' radio {bottom one) is in the H/Boss kit . I made a silicon mold and modified to a 'fugsprech F' by adding/removing knobs, dials etc. Rack was .3mm brass and spare P.E fret. The ' feind hΓΆrt mit ' decal and other placards are AFV items. Wiring harness , plugs , headphones , mic's and speaker to do yet -

You could be right , a 1/16 kit was announced a while ago 'coming soon' . anyhoo . . , But now , time for some Internal parts - Hobby boss transmission and hull details underway. I'll need some stuff to stick to the walls too , ammo , radio rack etc. Scratch time . -

Let the slaughter begin Most of the lower hull is used , but the upper panels have to be thinned and cut down , scotch tape helps protect the wanted bits . * The different coloured plastic is because I have already started with the Panda kit. Dry run . Next up , Aggggh ! P.E. Aber fender, Masterclub fasteners . - I prefer to solder my P.E. using solder paste and a disposable lighter, spring tweezers are a boon . Simples eh π More anon . . . -

I've had the Panda version in the stash , waiting for such a conversion , but then hobby Boss released this . A completely retooled kit , with interior ( no engine though ) - Just the job - Saves me a ton of work . Yay! -
