  1. I just discovered these figures being produced by ReedOak Rubber Composites utilizing the 3D printing process.  Detail and quality look to be truly outstanding.  I ordered the three different deck crew in 1/32 (54mm) for an upcoming Trumpeter A-6E vignette I have in mind.

  2. Some work in progress over the weekend on the D-13. Fuselage assembled and some filling, blending in of the nose panels.  Also, continual dry-fitting of the wing and fuselage assemblies, which is going to require some work to get them to mate up without some large gaps.  The resin fuselage and nose panels from Grey Matter Figures are patterned by Jerry Rutman and the overall fit and quality is first rate, however as with most resin kits it does require several test fits along with tweaking here and there.  Have also fitted the Aires cockpit and getting that ready for paint along with the rear engine module as provided in the Hasegawa kit.  Beginning to look like a D-13.

  3. If resin does not bother you the HpH kit is the way to go for 1/32 Me 410.  Price is high but the quality of the kit is very good and the only area that I had some disappointment in was the pre-painted cockpit consoles and instrument panels.  The pre-printed color is way off and just not usable as is for any self-respecting modeler, so either has to have some extensive masking and repaint done on it, or strip the pre-printed colors and re-paint.  Not sure which avenue I will take when I get to it, but will cross that bridge whenever I start building the kit.  Need to finish up my current projects before I even think about starting another.

  4. Good choice Dave, that particular D-9 has had a lot of interpretation over the years regarding the overall paint scheme.  I think I may have that Eagle decal sheet, I know for a fact that I have a masking set for it too.  I will check on the decal sheet and send you a PM if I have it.  Would be happy to send you a scan.  Also, some rare photos of 500647 in the Fw-190 Dora series by Jerry Crandall, do not know if you have seen them or not.

  5. As of October 1, 2015 my build on this A/C is much less than 25% complete and I am holding off any further work on it until November 1, 2015 as per GB rules.  Looking forward to sharing this build and seeing all the magnificent work that will be appearing in this GB!
