Paulster
I usually do my own research as I enjoy it. But 'tis the season to be busy. And if I don't get more Christmas decorations up by the time SWMBO gets home tonight I'll find coal in my stocking instead of model goodies and a new reloader. Anywho. I know that the tail wheel strut on the F4U was lengthened to improve visibility. But……did the main landing gear struts and main wheels stay the same throughout production? I ask because G-Factor and Eduards are marketing upgrades in this area. I am praying to the styrene gods that Tamiya will release the −4 version. And I am prone to purchasing AM stuff before I actually buy the kit and I am wondering if these should go on my Christmas wish list to SWMBO. Any help is appreciated. logan181
Other than adjusting the pressure on the struts to eliminate the nasty tendancy for the Corsair to bounce after a carrier landing, To my knowlage no other modifications were made to the main landing gear.
