  2. Actually, all 3 when done are going to the owners. Tim
  3. I've got 3 in progress helo builds currently. 1-1/35 MH-60L from KH with OGS markings from TF 160. 2-Another KH MH-60L with personal markings for a buddy of mine who flew in OGS. And finally, another KH HH-60L that will be a patient hoist diorama for another crew chief buddy in the Ky NG. He was on that famous rescue mission down in Ky. So yeah, I'm a helo guy!!!😂 Tim
  4. As much as I hate to say this, I took some pics of 101st E model, and the markings looked pretty sweet so I'll probably do the 101st bird! Tim
  5. Thanks. I know nothing about 3d printing but have a buddy who is a wizard at that stuff. I just prefer to scratchbuild whenever possible. Tim
  6. Thanks Hubert, my mojo has to stay kicked in seeing I'm hand delivering it in Aug! Lol Tim
  7. For 2023, I've decided to temporarily shelf all my helo builds so that I can concentrate on building this model for a friend's dad using the OOP Nichimo 1/20 Cessna 172 model. I reached out to Josh Flowers (Aviation101) on YT about building his father's airplane from years ago as a surprise gift. Josh is all for it and we are supposed to surprise his dad with the model the week of the 2023 Nats in San Marcos, Texas. His dad's 172 was N9812J. He called it "Juliet". It carried this exact paint scheme except the wheel pants were all white. The model requires alot of scratchbuilding especially on the inside to accurately show a 1980 model 172 instead of the early 70's 172. The first hurdle was the rear passenger seat. The Nichimo model's seat looks nothing like the later version on the seat, so many nights were spent scratchbuilding the new seat. It still needs painted and seat belts, but I wanted to show off the seat. I took the children's seat and sanded down the upholstery ends to replicate what the rear passenger seat looks like in 1980 Cessna 172. I then scratchbuild the seat frame and seat legs from Evergreen styrene rod. Here's a not very good pic of the real seat. Comments and critiques welcome! Tim
  8. I want to build the E model in either my 82nd Avn unit or the 101st (ugh, can't believe I said that! Lol). Tim
  9. Hey Maru, I'm here now. Glad we can still talk to you. Alot of LSP's jaws are dropped since people found out you were a she instead of a he!!! Glad you're here now! Tim
  10. Wow. I tried to create an account and realized I had one already. Anyhoo, I'm mainly a helicopter guy seeing I was a US Army UH-60 mechanic for 8 years. Hopefully you'll see some of my work here soon! Tim
