  1. Completed yesterday! Cheers
  2. After the summer vacations, work and family have taken most of my attention and all the ongoing scale model projects are collecting dust! Well, I've started another model, adding to the ongoing project list! I hope it will be a enjoyable quick project to get myself into the habit of the daily therapy session at the scale modelling bench. I'm using the Clear Prop kit to model a Bayraktar TB.2 UAV, in Ukranian Air Force colours. Here are a few photos of the early stages of the build: I hope to share some more progress soon. Cheers
  3. Thank you for your comment! Indeed, they are challenging, but their catalogue is mostly the only option to depict stranger or more obscure subjects. Here's a photo depicting some of the massaging these kits sometimes need 😁 Cheers
  4. Here are a few photos of the latest model to leave my scale modelling bench. It's a An-71, in 1:144 scale, built using the AModel kit. Cheers
  5. In my humble opinion, regarding DSLR cameras, any entry level one is more than enough for photographing our models!I have a prehistoric Nikon D50 and don't plan to upgrade it in a near future (for photos of models, I mainly use the 18-55mm lens that came with it). If you have any camera at home, play with it, as it should be able to make decent photos. I've seen scale model photos made with a cellphone that put most of my photos to shame... I consider that lighting, much more than the camera, is what will provide you with nice photos. Here's a simple photo tutorial I've made a number of years ago: https://mpminiatures.wordpress.com/2021/06/21/how-i-photograph-scale-models/ Please, tell me if it is not clear in any area, as I made it so people could reproduce my style of scale model photos, even with little photographic experience. Cheers
  6. Just completed, here's my first ever 1:32 scale aircraft model, a Bf-109 G-6/R-6, built using Revell's kit #04665 and Eduard's Cannon underwing pods. Camo colours from Vallejo's Model Air range. It was a nice experience (at least, I enjoy it enough to already have a couple more 1:32 warbirds on my to build pile)! Cheers
  7. Final stretch for its completion! I hope to share some photos of the completed model soon! Cheers
  8. A bit closer to completion. Still need to add some grime around the engine area and some exhaust residues (and other small details) to complete it. Cheers
  9. Quick update! Not much progress, as time for the hobby has been scarce. All panel lines were picked up using Ammo's model washes and the underside got an airbrushed general dirtiness layer, mainly around the most prominent details. I hope to post more soon. Cheers
  10. Thank you all for your kind words. The weathering has started! So far I've marked the lower fuselage panel lines. I hope to post more soon. Cheers
  11. Here are a few photos of my Bf109 G-6/R-6, a bit closer to completion! Decals are applied, but some still show a bit of silvering that will be addressed asap. There are also several details to be painted, before adding some weathering. I hope to post more soon. Cheers
  12. Here are a few photos of the latest model to leave my bench! It's a tiny Tomcat, built using the Revell kit, modelling one of the aircraft that took part in the movie "The Final Countdown" (an early 80's movie that is a must for any aviation enthusiast). Cheers
  13. This model has returned to my bench! The mottling is basically completed. I hope to post more updates soon! Cheers
  14. Here's what's on my bench at the moment! I'm building it using the Revell kit and it is my first attempt at 1:32 scale aviation! The mottling is halfway done (just RLM74, still missing RLM75). Cheers
