F-104nut Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 Another small update . Landing gear is complete . Finally after many 109 kits i have built added the decals to the tires and struts. Make the gears/wheels more alive. Now to paint detail in office then the usual coat of future and weathering. So stay tuned folks Cheers Brian 1
F-104nut Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 Well when its cold in Kansas its time to be in the hobby room. Got the rest of the basic cockpit colors painted. Now to airbrush some future gloss coat and apply the water base wash. Then flat coat and final weathering Cheers Brian 1

The tires is air brushed tamiya flat black lightend up with white for rubber tire look. The hub hand painted with indian ink . Brushes on perfect and leaves no brush mark. Then i use future for gloss coat. Apply decal then airbrush future and then flat coat with testors dull coat . I painted the struts with Model master RLM 02 , gloass coat with future and use flory water base wash. TYhen model master dullcoat . Hope this helps you Cheera Brian 1

Can you give more details on the India ink? I am not familiar with that one. 2
