sparbucks
Before the crash - Doogs suffered crazing after using Gunze Super Clear. I had used this for two years without a problem............until recently. I am building the Airfix Bentley (on SPandR) and sprayed the petrol tank with Humbrol Enamel followed much later by the Gunze. Immediate crazing resulting in complete rub back and prime. Dave J
Matt's problem was with the colour underneath bleeding through the top colour... a different issue... With paint crazing, I have found if, you paint a top coat over the Enamel which isn't fully dried, it will craze... The reason is, the underneath colour (Enamel) is shrinking as it dry's and it pulls the overlaying colour/varnish with it creating the crazing effect.
mgbgtv8steve
In my experience I've only had trouble when spraying acrylic over enamel - nearly always crazes!! Steve
