kahunaminor
Hello all, I have the HPH 1/32 ship's catapult that I am keen to use to set my Revell Ar196 A3 upon. My quest involves obtaining "in scale" cable for said catapult. In smaller scales, I would probably use Ezi line or some similar item to represent the launch cables. However in this scale, I would like to use a 'proper' cable. I have thought of thin copper cable stripped from electrical appliance. But I believe that requires three strands X 3 to be woven individually into thin cable and then these three cables woven together in the opposite direction to create the thicker launch cable. Is this correct? Not an unattainable task, but if somebody has done the work for me, who am I to not support their skill and endeavours and pay them for their product? Many thanks for your time,
rieser
Apart from the many generic cables available to the AFV modellers (try BNA Models for a local source of these), three options come to mind. 1 - guitar strings; 2 - beading wire from jewelry shops; 3 - picture hanging wire.
