I have one of the books
Great profiles but they are all one sided I think so often a bit difficult to really model from them, especially as they are *just* profiles and do not have accompanying photo evidence
Still slightly suspicious - there is a Hartmann profile based in Czech which I can recall I could find little other evidence for...

Awesome review Jim.
One thing: I believe that's a Panther rear deck, not a Tiger.
But who really gives a...?
Cheers

Hi
Does the cowling that comes with the engine set fit over the engine or can it only be displayed open?
-
Websites that hide the total price until the end, especially ones that do this with taxes, drive me nuts
-
Do we expect these to be available through the likes of Hannants in the UK does anyone know?
-
Looks awesome!
Thanks for all the pics Jim

Amazing build and paintwork!

wonderful rendition of the black undersides - very convincing
also, i have never seen (or really read about) black undersides with 02 / 70 (71?) topside and black underneath, but it looks pretty convincing
i have bookmarked your WIP thread too - thanks for bringing this to LSM!

People gathering outside Meng Building and chanting: WE WANT DIRTY TOO, WE WANT DIRTY TOO...!!!
my thoughts exactly
this needs to be 1/32 and they would sell well i think
-
fantastic work as always Mike!
i am surprised the kits seem to be 'fighting' you a bit, though I haven't built the Revell yet so cannot speak from experience
i cannot recall, have you used any of the AMUR Reaver 109 upgrades yet?
I was thinking of using this one for the erla Hartmann build
thanks again for another masterclass

i am one of the many 'cancelees' i think - switched to LuckyModel way back and my Mossie just arrived yesterday (surface mail)
it took a (very) long while, but the price was stupid cheap - nothing has come close that i had access to in the UK
i am unlikely to use HLJ again for anything to be honest:
messing me around with shipping dates, prices that aren't the best once you factor in shipping AND most importantly of all for me in UK, they always put full value on the package, so i get stiffed on customs
i realise this is not HLJ's fault per se, but it will drive me to use other vendors who are more laissez faire in their attitudes
on a more positive note, the Tamiya kit is fantastic!!

i asked a simple question - whether it 'matters' or not depends upon one's view
given I asked the question, a reasonable assumption is that it matters to me - at least enough to want to know
i agree the kit looks good in the box...
"If you're asking does the new KH P-39 kit match the length given from published Manufacturer's dimensions when reduced to 1/32nd scale, then the answer seems to be "No." "
thank you Steve!

hi
is there a definitive answer to the 'is it too short? question that I have seen mentioned on a number of other sites?
the special hobby kit is said to be short by a chunk, and i have seen various comparisons of sprue shots between this new kit and the SH one...with different conclusions!
any ideas?
thanks
Nick

Mike,
you have probably seen this, but FalkeEins' blog is pretty good and he does some great research
http://falkeeins.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/focke-wulf-190-sg-77-panzerschreck.html
pics from his blog
does your aircraft only have 2 pshreks on each wing, rather than 4 - or am i misinterpreting the pictures??
hope these help
Nick

where did you get those Schatton-Modellbau Panzerschreck tubes?
what he said!
this must be one of the few afternarket bits that hasn't been done yet - or so i thought!
how do they attach though??

visit Cambridge / Oxford / or Bath
the first two for the university architecture - you will see nothing like it anywhere (I mean anywhere)
Cambridge is smaller, prettier and I think the Eagle pub in centre of town has a room out back dedicated to WWII airmen - lots of crew wrote their names in soot on the ceiling with candles etc, and they preserved it all with lacquer
you can also go punting - done it lots in Cambridge round 'the backs' (backs of the colleges)
Bath - stunning Georgian architecture and small enough city that you and family can get around it on foot
home to a top rugby team as well (i am biased!)
Scotland...hmmm - you've got all that scenery where you are and more
go there if you like whisky or a bitter people that hate the English
if you have time to spare happy to have a beer with you in my local - you can inspect the He111 prop blade that hangs on the wall...
have a great trip!

looks beautiful Jeroen!
what paints do you use again, and what colours for the upper wing roundels please?
-
because as Dave says, release in japan is delayed
for whatever reason, rest of world gets them beforehand
-
hello and welcome to the forums
and thank you for the information about your relative who flew these aircraft
kind regards

Are the squiggles hand painted or airbrushed?
