Hi Cees,
Don't get confuse by the title of the thread It's the Mk.IIa kit but I'm backdating it to a Mk.Ia
Sorry my fault as I was going to build it as a Mk.IIa originally.

Wow, nice detail painting

Today's progress, more decals. Just the underside roundels to do along with all the little stencils, then I can move onto weathering.
More tomorrow.

I think they're a pain as well Cees

Thanks Guys, today's progress.
She's got her legs and the decals are going on. The decals are Eagle Cal and are very thick, requiring Mr Mark Softener to get them to settle.
More tomorrow

Wow, impressive work

Amazing work

I always put off painting camo, unless I'm free-handing it. But these masks have worked great.
Going to spray the walkway lines like you did on yours Jim.

I'm on borrowed time myself
It's looking like at Spitfire now

Indeed, lets see how well I can use masks.

Well good progress today the Dark Earth sprayed I'm trying out AK Interactive paints on this build. Then I laid down the masks. This is the first time I have ever used masks and these a re a prototype set from Topnotch Models for the Revell Mk II. So took a bit of working out how they all fit. The developer was kind enough to talk me through the start of the possess using Skype.
Dark green goes on tomorrow.

No it's not going to be that one because I changed my mind on the decals I'm going to be using this set.

Well got all the AM extras I want for this build, they arrived yesterday from Hannants.

I've got some masks that I'm reviewing for a friend who has just started making them so I will be trying them out.
It'll be a first for me as never used any masks before.

Got a bit more done

And sky on the undersides

Where did you get the decals from in 1/32.
Paul
Hi Paul, the decals are from Kits World Decals and since I built this kit and spoken with them they have updated and corrected their artwork.
-
I switched back to 1:72 in middle age because I felt I now had the skill to get a reasonable looking build
-
One of these, I thinking Green 4 II/JG300 blue/white tail bands that I use from the kit decals

Than you Steve,
I'm not to worried a bout the gun positions but the wing bulges are very obvious so I need to get them right.
I have got the G-6 as well but don't want to rob parts from one kit to fix another when I can buy them for £5 - £6
I am going to use AM decals but not decided which and struggling to find out which aircraft needs large or small wing bulges.
Arrrggghh it's a nightmare

I'm liking this thread, watching with interest.
