It should be a good time. Can you make a larger LSM Logo for our table? I’m going to try, but I’m not sure what I can get done in time. My Lanc’s the priority.

I’m taking the Lanc and I’m going to put it on the display table. I should be there Wednesday morning if I get out of here on time. I guess I could bring the Gotha and maybe the Felix. I dunno, we’ll see. The Lanc will be the first model I’ve built for myself in two years.

It’s about done as far as airframe stuff goes. Now we stick it together and run the antenna wires. I refinished the portside inner nacelle. I didn’t like the exhaust pattern, so I’ll reapply it tomorrow.

Carl, the gear’s great, actually. 4 point mounting on the corners and thick legs, so it’s super sturdy.

Peter, coming from you, Sir, the master of all things metal, that’s high praise indeed. Now I’ll go unswell my head. You simply use real metal, and the rest of us work like demons to somehow make long dead refined dinosaur extract just look like metal.

Agreed. I love civilian schemes on ex military aircraft, and racers are truly where it’s at! Like, how many P-63 or P-39 schemes can you do? Most all are green with red stars. But they were super competitive in the heyday of racing...

Other than my Lanc, the only models of mine on display will be the two I built for KH. Pretty sad for a guy who spends on average 2 hours per day at the bench.

I expect so. They always have from what I remember. I'll bring mine from last year, too.

So I'm hoping we get more than a few of us together and make a real presence there. Depending on how far I get, my Lanc will either be display only or on the contest table. It looks like we'll have a few models coming, so this should be good. I've built diddley squat over the last couple years. Come to thing of it, my last two completions were builds for Kitty Hawk....

I'll have to measure mine, but I'd say just the standard nametag holders where you slip the paper in between two pieces of flexible soft clear plastic and attach to your shirt with a safety pin on the back. I'll look when I get home.

I'm going to ATTEMPT to print off a dozen or so LSM logo name tags for the regular plastic name tag holders, so if y'all have your empty holders, please bring them. Or, if someone else KNOWS they can print off LSM logo tags, please pipe up. Ernie

Yep, agreed. I’ve seen plenty of pics with the outboard upper wing as clean as a whistle. But the RCAF pic of FM104 in flight shows what I painted. I expect plenty more pushback. LOL!!

Thanks, Ron! I've gotten ALOT of feedback on the exhaust patterns I've used, some of it questioning the outboard engines and how the exhaust stains shouldn't go over the wings. All I can say is that I went by the period photos and this is what they show.
