  1. A very stunning build. Just a classy finish, subtle, refined, but stunning is all I can say.
  2. I use Tamiya spray paints decanted from the spray can and then shot through one of three airbrushes using two air compressors. I use House of Kolor Urethane paints for my helmets to include Shimrin and Shimrin 2 base coats, neons and colors. I also use metal flakes as additives to color coats or to an intermediate clear. I use HoK candies and pearls as well as pearl powders. I sometimes use white and black HoK bases mixed with Tamiya colors for tinting for my models. I use 3 airbrushes, a touch up gun and and a full size gun with full size compressor for helmet and kart painting. Combining my helmet paints with my model paints work well as both are lacquer based. I also use something I learned about in helmet painting. I use SEM XXX Gun cleaner and XXX Waterborne gun cleaners. They are a spray lacquer and acrylic cleaner in a large spray can. Works great on airbrushes for cleaning.
  3. Incredible Dora. Makes me want to build mine, but know I couldn't do it justice after looking at your amazing D-9. I really like the under surfaces scheme, really different. Very nice.
  4. It's really fascinating to follow builds like this. Modeling is truly an art form that requires widespread skills. Scratch building is fun to watch because of the creativity of the modeler meeting his physical abilities. Long winded way of saying "Wow, that's cool".
  5. Great looking 51. I am in process on mine and I agree, it's a great kit.
  6. I am a Superkart driver in the US and I paint Helmets for other racers. I also do alot of modeling. I love the building part, but being a helmet painter, painting the models is my favorite part. So when I went to build my 1/32 Trumpeter MiG-29K, I chose an interesting scheme even tho it was not a perfect fit for the actual aircraft. Kind of a what if Black 941 Was a Single Seater. I still think it looks good and it was a fun build. The Real 941
  7. I'm probably one of the very few people that doesn't love the P-47 (I know, blasphemy), but your build goes a long way to change my mind. I'm a fan of heavily weathered aircraft and yours is amazing. Great work.
  8. Beautiful build and I like the display base. Really like your camo on fuselage, freehand airbrush? I have this kit as well, guess I need to get started on it. 'Course I have 1/24, 1/32, 1/48 and 1/72 Dora's, will take a while.
