The only bad thing is that I feel compelled to do my Roden Dr. I before the WNW kit is released.
I had been holding off hoping that Pheon would get off their butts and release the 90 version set that they had promised for this year. The year being 2/3 gone, I wonder wtf is the hold-up.

Walked right by it thinking it was a Roden Kit.
I realize I must be banished for this act.

There once was a man from Nantuket... A wee bit dirty for publication though....
From Breaker Morant:
There once was a man from Australia
Who painted on his arse a Dahlia
the color was fine....
Likewise the design....
But the smell! Ugh! that was a fail-yah!

Here's what I did:
I went to Bunnings. I grabbed a cheap, tall, flexible head desk lamp. Then I walked to the next isle and grabbed their brightest LED bulb of some 1500 lumens (I'd have gotten brighter if they had one in stock that day) of cool white light that would fit. When the light comes on, you definitely get that "take me to your leader" feeling. I feel that having a magnifying lens on your desk lamp is useless. You are better off with an optivisor or reading specs and a powerfull-ass-bulb.
Screw mail order...

I have already started sanding, the upper deck forward of the rotor is done, the whole tail boom is done also, however, the rear turtle deck and belly are a mess and required sprue goo, so I have been waiting for it to cure hard enough to sand, I made a couple attempts, but not yet. Will try again late tonight. I may take a stab at re-scribing in some panel lines I sanded out and maybe restoring some rivets too.
I love the idea of Spue goo, but the time it takes to harden isn't worth it to me. I much prefer to use CA and baking soda or CA and accelerator. five minutes VS 5 days... true beauty....
Another 'sprue goo horror story: I wanted to do the filled and puttied panel line thing. So, I thinned my sprue goo a little more. It dried, and then I sanded off the excess...
But lo and behold two weeks later I began to paint and realized that the sprue goo had continued to shrink the plastic causing shallow dpressions in all of my filled panel lines. Weren;t too happy bout that!

positively BRILLIANT!
Gaz, I have a Hasegawa F2 I was going to do that to as well. Great minds think alike.
Thank you, Ernie! Honestly I probably wouldn’t have done it were there more schemes and markings available. But I’ve always wanted to do a 109 in NMF.

Gaz, brilliant............simply brilliant............
by the way, as you now reside down under does that mean you’re an Ashes convert........
Thank you, Phil!
As we don't have cricket in the US... or didn't when I left, anyway..., I haven't developed a taste for the game. It is pretty inescapable here, and I pay enough attention for conversational benefit. We have cable TV in my workplace break-room, so I do get to watch a bit now and again. I've always believed in being a hometown or home-nation fan. So, it's Aussie - Aussie - Aussie!!!
Of course, being a hometown fan becomes more complicated during the Olympics when I have to consider I was born in Germany, raised in the US, and now reside in Australia.
