  1. Hi Dennis I really loved my Honda. My fave apart from my last which was a triumph trophy 900, I still miss that bike, I felt like king of the road on that bike.
  2. Hi all I made this a long time ago and sent it to a friend of mine in the USA he was very pleased with it. I didn't do this as per the box art the model in the kit is based on the one in the museum I did it based on the land speed record car which was black and had two seats one for the co pilot who pumped the air into the engine it was sold on after the world record run and acquired the red paint and the name then.
  3. Wow that looks a detailed kit, they are pricy though
  4. 23 1/2 inches long 595mm she's a big old lady.
  5. Hi all when I built this I got a lot of abuse for how I built it, in fact I left a couple of forums over it. I seldom build something out of the box and I love old and rusty, so much more interesting than shiny and new
  6. As I may have said before this kit was way over priced and felt like they had been penny pinching from the start, for instance nearly all the electrical connections are moulded but not implemented they don't even supply an assortment of wires for you to add the wiring ( I mean what would that have cost I would happily spent another tenner on the kit if they had added them) It was really hard finding the correct thickness of wire for each part in the right scale. Even a lot of the decals were the wrong scale and had to be replaced.
  7. Hi all I built this about 4 yrs ago and someone stole the build and posted it on YouTube as theirs (obviously I had all the pics of the full build to prove I built it and had YouTube remove it) It is based on a GSX but modified a bit and made in keeping with the Mad Max films. Firstly I lengthened the swing arm.
  8. Thank you so much for the lovely compliments
  9. Hi all I based this build on my first Honda 750 (she was a bit of a rat but I loved her)
  10. Once I started this rebuild I knew straight away I would prefer the look as I already loved the black on the engine.
  11. Oh come on you can plainly see from the1/9 triumph in the background it's not . I I love the 1/6 tamiya mc kits I have done loads of them (someone even stole one of my builds and past it off as theirs on YouTube
  12. OK take some lead solder squash it flat put a couple of bends in it paint one of the bent tabs satin black repeat 12 times and you have a sparkplug retainer. Take some heat shrink tube cut to 2 mm add to the ht lead add some heat and you have a sparkplug cap.
  13. More progress pics (can you see where this is going.
  14. Thanks guys I wasn't happy with the scale of the kit supplied fuel lines (nearly double the size they should have been at just over 1mm (the actual lines are a tad over 6mm) The only photo ref I have atm is this. I know they are metal in the pic but back then they were clear nylon because they were lighter than metal ones but when they added more ethanol to modern fuel they started to fail (the nylon ones that is) and so modern cars have metal, anyway I've gone of subject metal ones is the only ref I have atm and the nylon ones were a tad smaller so the kit ones are definitely over scale. I've done some weathering on the engine as well and added a few ancillary parts
  15. Got the white on next is masking up for the blue, also got some of the engine and gearbox done.
