  1. Sorry Harv. I had to copy and paste it into the top address bar of the browser and enter to see it. Your models are amazing. Can't wait to see this one.
  2. In this photo, my dad is the 4th from the left on the front row, Ivor Parry Evans. (Bombardier) The photo was taken at Walker Air Force Base outside Roswell, New Mexico. In 1955, on another crew at Walker, he and they won the bombing competition for all of SAC (Strategic Air Command). I just wrote a book about him and the Roswell Crash of 1947 which will come out on Amazon in October. The book is Roswell, Area 51, and God. I also have a photo of him shaking hands with Major General Douglas Nelson, ex-commander of Area 51. Richard M. Evans http://www.zianet.com/tmorris/S-02Crew1957.jpg
  3. Amazing details! Very nice job. Congratulations. For all those who said they don't have room for big bombers, you are mistaken. When my dad was alive, I built 3 bombers that he flew, B-25, B-36, and B-52. He was a bombardier and radar navigator. He hung them from his office ceiling. He has gone to be with the Lord, but my mom is still alive. The models are still hanging in that office after over 40 years.
  4. You guys are amazing. This is a whole different level than I'm familiar with. Amazing detail on this B-24 cockpit and other models I've seen. Now that I'm retired, I'm an author and an artist. I really don't know how you get this fine detail. Is there anywhere on this site that shows how you do it? Or is that a trade secret. Great work.
  5. Thank you harv. Bomber_County He flew out of Cape Bon, Tunisia, then several bases in Italy...Taranto, Foggia, and Paesteum, then finally Corsica. His targets were mostly in Italy, but also Greece and Yugoslavia, driving out General Rommel and the Nazis.
  6. The photo of the B-36 over the beach is a very early version. It has the 6 reciprocating (propeller) engines, but the four jet engines are not attached. My dad, Ivor Parry Evans, was a bombardier in B-25s in the Army Air Corps in World War 2. Then in 1950 he became a radar navigator bombardier in B-36s. Then a radar navigator in B-52s. He later became the base commander at Walker Air Force Base in Roswell, NM. I have a photo of him shaking hands with Major General Douglas Nelson, ex-commander of Area 51. Richard M. Evans
