  1. My first dio involved a tank and a motorcycle: I scratchbuilt new thinner shields, stowage, antennas, ditching logs, towing cables, a fence, and then handpainted the bugger.
  2. Im just getting into armor, and as such have only 3 kits under my belt. My very first tank: Tamiya's M41 walker bulldog. I scratchbuilt some details on this kit, most notably the grab handles, stowage, towing cable, antenna, and panel details (I know the periscope windows arent painted in these pictures. I realized my mistake after I took these)
  3. thank you. It got rid of a large void in my room too. Now I only have one nekkid wall!
  4. Thank you! you wanna no my secret to spinning props huh? I blow on them! It might take a dozen attempts, but eventually Ill get a pic that I like.
  5. Im a History major with a minor in Classics
  6. This is Monograms' 1/48 Crusader and I figured I should start a thread so I can update as I go. Ive been slowly working on this as I take breaks from studying, Not much done so far, just preparing for the resin details the decals were old and yellowed, so I nabbed an aftermarket sheet (ill be doing the Marine version) wings cut apart for resin replacements just ordered some metal landing gear, so Ill have those to add too. Comments and concerns welcome!
  7. Thanks Mike! Though Im shocked you could name the kit maker from my photo. my first "adult" build was that MiG-29 up there. Still has to be one of my most prized possesions.
  8. sometimes I like to think my models are the real deal
  9. I dont have a dedicated work room, just a desk that may or may not happen to be free of clutter, LOL. I have an art desk set up in my room, but a lot of my modeling is done on the corner of my dorm desk too. (older pic where the art desk was actually clean, and our sweet kitty making a guest appearance) I have a good stash of about 40+ kits, and my mother likes to joke that I have more plastic in my closet than clothes. :P Ive also got about 40 finished kits. Most of my 72nd stuff can fit in the display shelf I have, but Ive had to resort to using my 48th fighters as wall ornaments! (you can see how my stash goes wall-to-wall in my closet)
