One-Oh-Four
Been playing a little with my new studio lights and selected the 1/32 Spitfire built by Luuk from Dutch Decal as the victim! JPG's straight from the camera, no tweaking. I'm not completely satisfied with the results yet. But enough about photographing; on to the model:
repeater
Nice details on the photos, Erik. Excellent photos can make a good model great. It's well worth the investment! Is that a wartime scheme or..? Tim
One-Oh-Four
Hi Tim, no, it's a post-war scheme. In 1946 322 Sqn went to the Nethrlands East Indies to join in the fighting against the nationalists from Sukarno and the Jihadis who wanted to found a Muslem state. The original RAF scheme was at last overpainted with a dark green colour named Jungle Green, the undersides were painted a light blue grey. On this Spitfire a second topcolour of grey was added. This was the sole example, the rest stayed in Jungle Green. This aircraft also had an anti-dazzle area of Olive Drab that the others didn't have.
