SigEp Ziggy Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 I thought I would build this model my son gave me a couple of Christmas's ago. I started with the cockpit... 5
Peterpools Posted February 28, 2024 Posted February 28, 2024 Very nice progress on the Big Cat, will be following. Just a suggestion, you could ask martin to move your build thread to the 1/48th scale forum, as most of the members more frequently look there. 1
SigEp Ziggy Posted February 29, 2024 Author Posted February 29, 2024 My mistake, Martin can you move this thread? 1
SigEp Ziggy Posted March 20, 2024 Author Posted March 20, 2024 I painted the wings first so I can sandwich the upper and lower fuselage together... 4
Peterpools Posted March 21, 2024 Posted March 21, 2024 Terrific progress on your Big Cat. Weathering absolutely brings out the details on the gear and gear doors. On my Tamiya F-14 GB Twins build, I did the same with the gear and posted an update yesterday showing that portion of the build. 1
SigEp Ziggy Posted March 21, 2024 Author Posted March 21, 2024 Thank you Peter, the Tamiya kit is both better and newer, but my son gave me this kit two Christmas's ago. I prefer 1/72 scale armor and aircraft due to space limitation, but a gift from my son means a lot to me! 4
Peterpools Posted March 22, 2024 Posted March 22, 2024 Right with you and no better reason for a build. I have a few kits my son gave me many years ago and they are so very special to me.👍
