Lusitanian
Arguably the single most famous Phantom of them all is F-4C-24-MC 64-0829. She is the airplane flown by Col. Robin Olds and 1 Lt Steve Croker on 20 May 1967, when they bagged a pair of MiG-17s. She is also probably the most misunderstood Phantom of them all. Numerous model manufacturers have provided markings for '829, but not a single one of them has ever provided the parts, or adequately researched markings, to allow a modeler to build an accurate replica of how she appeared in 1967. We had researched her for our 2020 fündekals Operation Bolo F-4C MiG Hunters decal, and since then more information has come to our attention. So we decided to put together a modeler's guide to building this most famous of all Phantoms. No claims to infallibility, and if you have any information to refute or correct anything contained herein, we're all ears! Hopefully this will help someone build a really accurate model of this historic aircraft. Enjoy! The Most Famous Phantom of Them All 3

ScottsGT
Ok, this is awesome since it’s been on my “to build” list for 20 years now. 🤪 Damn. I cannot believe it’s been that long “On the back burner.” Dad was there when they landed and threw the impromptu parade. They had just landed and unloaded their C-141 and was wondering what all the commotion was about. 4
