JohnB Posted Sunday at 07:35 PM Posted Sunday at 07:35 PM I got the bug for another Birdcage build but I don't have oneΒ π. As a alternative I decided to re do this one to a VMF 213 a/c named Gus's Gopher. This is it's current status with nearly all of the decals in place. I intend to do another FAA bird but will probably use a -1A and make the needed adjustments (clipped wings, etc). Stay tuned. 3

JohnB Posted Monday at 04:36 PM Author Posted Monday at 04:36 PM One of the first things I'll do is remove the white circular marking. Tried it to see if it looked okay but decided to remove it. 2
JohnB Posted Monday at 11:57 PM Author Posted Monday at 11:57 PM A few adjustments made. Tomorrow I'll start on some weathering. 3
JohnB Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago Making some progress on weathering but still a long way to go. I hope I'm not over doing it! π

I hope I'm not over doing it! π I do not know much about Corsairs, but my guess would be that a Corsair in Guadalcanal in 1943 would have taken a lot of beating β¦ So I do not think itβs overdone (yet ?) Hubert Thanks Hubert. There is a lot more to do but I'm being careful not to get carried away (as some builds I've seen).π
JohnB Posted 14 hours ago Author Posted 14 hours ago I think this is about as far as I'll go with the weathering. Still have a good bit to do before I can call it done. π 2
