Squadron has introduced accurate colors for Star Trek TOS spacecraft!  It’s the main reason I’ve been holding off on my builds is because the only color mix found I’d using discontinued Model Master paint.

Now I’ve just got to wait on the color call out chart and I’ll be trying out acrylics again.
CultTVman’s email mentions this.  I’m surprised Squadron didn’t send an email announcing it.
Email:

You may have seen the line of monster colors and the flesh tone paints that we have added to the shop.   Now Squadron has produced this set of 12 acrylic airbrush paints based on Gary Kerr's color guide for the TOS starship. (Gary is everywhere!)

Note that this is a starter set and the bottles are 15ml.  That should work well for a 1:1000 scale model.  Larger kits will require some additional paint to cover the entire model.    Squadron is also working on a paint guide to go with these, but it is not yet available.

These paints are coming very soon, and you can add yourself to the wait list to be notified when they are in stock

These are aimed at studio scale models. So you would need to tweak them for say 1/72 scale Bandai / Fine mold kits. Otherwise they will be too dark.

This is good news!  Gary Kerr worked very hard to get paint mixes with the well known Model Master line of paint.

I was wondering what I'd do now that MM is out of production.
