JohnB Posted June 7 Posted June 7 I ordered this kit a number of days ago and it's supposed to deliver this coming Monday. In the meantime, since I have several boxes of unused 1/32 P-51 parts, both Revell and Tamiya, and since I didn't have anything on the bench, I decided to see about getting a head start on the build using left over parts. I was able to get a LOT done and will be able to have a nice start when the kit shows up. I plan to do Hess's "Bout One" ROK D-15 using some Tamiya decals, a mix of Revell and Tamiya parts plus a resin replacement tail. And I still have a LOT of unused parts. 🙂 8
JohnB Posted 21 hours ago Author Posted 21 hours ago I drilled out the breather ports and replaced the kit exhausts with some Tamiya exhausts. 3
JohnB Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago Cockpit assembly done. I used a Tamiya instrument panel instead of the kit one. Belts are FineMolds. I used Barracudacals for the cockpit details. 4
