It a rainy holiday morning in Richmond so enjoyed an hour of building.
Assembled the Differential Cover along with its tow hooks etc in step 3 and then attached to the front of the lower hull in step 5.
HobbyTown USA in Richmond is open 10-5 today so planning a trip to purchase some needed supplies!!

Looking good Ralph seems the typical Tamyia kit .;)

It’s a pretty sweet kit however a wish it had link in link tracks rather than rubber tracks. I do well painting and weather rubber tracks and have had folk mistakenly think that they were metal tracks. Personally I love the fit and realistic look of the link in link tracks.

Possible rain showers today so enjoyed my morning coffee and assembled 2 drive sockets, 4 return rollers and 6 smaller return rollers in step 9 and attached them to the lower hull in step 10.

Some nice progress there Ralph.

Nice to see the actual Tamiya version get built. I have the earlier Tamiya release of the Easy Eight which turned out to be a re-box of the Tasca kit.

Other than the rubber track, would rather see link in link tracks that come with many new Tamiya armor releases, it’s a stellar kit. I’m adding lots of stowage plus a Tamiya 1/35 German bike to add interest.

Turned out to be a chilly rainy day so rather than take a trip over to the storage site to work on the Flair dashboard I decided to stay home, do some projects around the house and continuing to build my Easy Eight lower hull.
Completed steps 11 through 13 assembling the suspension boggies, remaining return rollers plus stapled the tracks together.
That completes the lower hull.

Last night I decided to assemble and install the road wheels to their boggies and paint them along with the lower hull rather than individually.
I’ll finish the others this morning.
