Eduard 1/72 scale P-51D-10. Fit so far is excellent, as good as the little 109's. Lots of cockpit painting to get done from jump. but now things are coming together.

Fuse assembled, Shiny black primer. Wing fits so well I am going to paint it separately to save some masking, as painted wing, natural metal fuselage.

Update. Most of the stuff is painted. Multi finish surface is new for me, and a pain in the ass, but I like the effects.IMG_2772.thumb.jpeg.1d6ae01429cbcdd9912b5f4309b12420.jpegIMG_2771.thumb.jpeg.652b8c36a05e8d36cc8d132e58c45bf6.jpeg

Panel contrast looks really pronounced in photo's, much less so in person. Wing is ready to go, after I wipe off the last bit of wash from the underside.

German style spiral on this one, hand painted. Took three tries. I know the decal would have wadded itself up before it ever reached the part so...

Plus all the other bits. And it all still needs the wash rubbed down.

And the base getting glued together. ICM Marsdon mat.
