Once in a while, I get the economies of scale idea and will do a couple kits of the same subject simultaneously. It possibly saves me some time painting, or building. Conversely it can cause me to burnout and give up.

Best case was when I did 3 Tamiya Spitfires at the same time. With a Revell one along for the ride.

I've got a build thread going on the ZM FW190 A-4 kit and was asked how it compared to the Revell one. Since I had the Revell kit in the stash it wasn't much trouble to do so. Which led to me doing a bit of work on it and then next thing you know, I've glued a couple parts together and I'm at the point of no return and might as well build it too.

So here's a separate build thread for the Revell kit to keep things less cluttered than my bench.

I also have primary 1 of Eduard's Brassin detail sets.

The engine goes together well.

I'm going to paint it after it's all together. Not much is seen, certainly almost none of the backside as everything will be closed up.

The MLG bays are separate parts along with the wing spar and a fairly large reinforcement. The  latter two helped with getting the dihedral correct.

The instructions have you glue the fuselage halves together first and then install the cockpit. At this point I thought I'd test fit the Eduard cockpit tub. It seems the resin has shrunk and it won't work. The resin tub has a pair of tabs on the floor that insert into the fuselage sides, same as the kit tub. As you can see in the pic, the rear deck part of the tub isn't long enough to reach all the way to the back of the opening.

Likewise, the side consoles aren't wide enough to reach the fuselage sides.

Here's the kit part for comparison.

Ignore the gap at the top right side, that's from me squeezing the fuselage halves together.

At this point, I'll be skipping the resin tub and maybe use some what details I can from it.

That is how Ford invented mass production, Carl :D. Good to see you are on the Revell 190 as well. Bummer with the resin. I have lots of Brassin stuff for mine as well, but I won´t pull it out now.

Cheers Rob

Right, but Ford wasn't building every car by himself... I could't do this. I have multiple projects going all at once, but they are always different subjects because my adhd won't let me stay on one thing too long. Or maybe it''s the practicality of some things need to sit and dry/cure before I f' them up be being impatient, so I need another something to poke at.
