PanzerWomble Posted January 19 Posted January 19 So, there was mention of Trumpeter parts , is this the Airfix plastic or the other one ? 1
Martinnfb Posted January 19 Author Posted January 19 I am sorry, forgot to clarify. The light plastic is trumpeter, it will become more apparent as we progress further. I am using prop blades, bulges, radiator and the tall tail from the TRP kit. Rest should be resin putty molded to shape. What can go possibly wrong? 4
PanzerWomble Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Excellent , I take it there will be a poll later to convert your new K- K to an E , clearly you like a challenge 😝 Edit - no obvious wing warping on this one ? 2
Martinnfb Posted January 21 Author Posted January 21 When I go completely mental, I won’t tell anyone, but there will be signs. 4
Martinnfb Posted January 23 Author Posted January 23 Preliminary shaping. Even Sabrina’s are aging , you know. modified Trump in primer 7
Martinnfb Posted January 23 Author Posted January 23 Grafting Trump radiator on the Airfix power egg assembly. You can see how Trump had to compensate for the nose up attitude by altering the slope of the upper edge. And how I tried to alter it by layer of putty at the front of it. 6
PanzerWomble Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Very good , so for stupid people like me, the K version had..a taller tail, and more streamlined nose cannon install ? Wings ? Sorry no expert here .and wokeypedia is vague also do you realise your sending all the AI bots into frenzy with “Trump in Primery” references 😝 3
Martinnfb Posted January 23 Author Posted January 23 More less, the larger supercharger and heads required reshaped engine bearers , hence the cowling , larger tires =. bigger wing bulges, big tail and Erla canopy was already pretty much standard. Another v visible change was retractable wheel. There is much more in differences and a small details. However 109 is like English language , it is defined by exceptions to its own rules. 5 1
Martinnfb Posted February 5 Author Posted February 5 There as a short delay due some medical emergency. But I am still here and kicking, maybe not literally well you know what I meant. This is what we are heading for. 3
BlrwestSiR Posted February 5 Posted February 5 That's great to hear Martin and glad to see you back at the bench. Carl 1 1

And what three more or less intact 109's would be worth today. 1
PanzerWomble Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Abandoned = good ......but not abandoning the build ! 🤣 1
Martinnfb Posted 19 hours ago Author Posted 19 hours ago The progress is slow, I can work behind my bench only for short period of time. Usually ten minutes at the time. The main wing is almost ready. I finalized the shape of the wing bulges and created space for the ejection port shoot that is somewhat compromising the integrity of the gear leg assembly. I’ve also been working on the shape of the power egg , however the progress is much slower there, since everything has to be recreated from nothing. The original parts serve as a locators for positioning if the exhaust , gun ports etc. I know, one would say that there’s not much difference between the G and K models , but in reality everything has to be altered , scratched build or modified in one way or the other 4
BlrwestSiR Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Glad you're back at the bench, even if it's for short spurts. Looking good there Martin. The upper wings mods have come out really well. 2
