Members Mikester
I want to do a P-40N-1 from Assam, with the skull on the front of the cowl. The 1/32 Hasegawa P-40N is a later block model with the aft part of the canopy squared off. Would their 1/32 P-40M be appropriate to use for this? It has the correct style canopy but I'm not sure if there were any other significant differences between the M and the N. Next problem is the P-40M is no longer readily available is converting an "E" model to an "N-1" feasible? Thanks! Mike
Dave J
Mikey... Looking at this photo you will want an N... But I don't know when this was taken and if they are all the same variants? Fundekals do 2nd LT Philip Adair's N-5, Lulu Belle... But if you do find that you do need an M... Let me know I know were a few are sitting! Members Mikester
Dave, I've got a set of Tiger Wings decals already, the markings on the sheet are all for N-1's (although it wouldn't be the first time a decal manufacturer got something wrong). I'll do a comparison of that sheet you posted and mine though. And, YES, I could use an "M" in the stash if you can get your hands on one for a reasonable price!
