kahunaminor Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 May I present my rendition of Airfix's recent release of the 1/48 scale BP Defiant. Finished in one of the kit schemes of an aircraft from 264 SQN, RAF in Suffolk, 1940. The level of detail OOB is excellent and provides a great start if you wish to add more details such as Eduard PE, Brassin exhausts and Master Barrels as I have used. The "A" scheme was done courtesy of Miracle Paint Masks excellent camouflage masking set and my thanks to Mal for making an excellent and easy to follow set. The kit is well engineered and goes together well, however it lacks some details such as the underside flare chute covers and wing fuel filler points (the stencils are on the decal sheet). These are not hard to replicate and with a little work are easily added. The resulting model is an asset to any collection: Thanks for looking, 2
morley bill Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 good job been looking at this one myself thanks for posting Bill..
Wingco57 Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Airfix really seems to have made a fantastic kit of an unsung aircraft type. Personally I really like the "Daffy". Your model is a fine example what can be done to it. Well done. Cees 1
