Well, all I can say is wow. I had to stop reading and leave for work. I will come back to this later. There is so much detail and so much to learn I may have to read it more than twice. I am saving this. Nice work Paul, honestly.

When you open the Heinekin case, will be there to help. Great cave.
Haha Jeroen, that Heinekin case holds some of about three hundred 33 1/3 RPM albums from the 70's and 80's. I'm showing my age here, LOL.

Nova, this kit was honestly a dream to build. It's older than even my Zero's, I have had it a while, so it's "early" Tamiya quality. It sat in my stash for a long time. The engine is a beautiful kit all by itself, I wish they put two in the kit. One in the plane and one on the maintenance cart. The engine can be taken in and out, it is on a dovetail slide fitting of a sort. They thought of everything on this one. The box has an insert to store the finished model if you like. The tail is on pins and rubber grommets so it can be removed for transport. Pretty neat. All in all I really liked building this. They also made a version in Air Force Thunderbirds colors but that one is discontinued and prices go towards $300 for the kit. I like it, but no way, LOL.
And Jeroen? Thanks a lot for your kind words. This kit is well worth the money and I am NOT a modern aircraft guy.

thats not a WNW.......Paul im shocked at you building this modern stuff !!!
Only kidding buddy
superb finish my friend, one to be proud of for sure, congrats.
Martin.
I'm shocked too. Other than the F-4 I built years ago, this is the first. Just not into the modern stuff. This is for my son who is in AF at the moment. He shocked the hell out of me a few of weeks ago by re-upping. LOL. So I am sending him this to show how proud I am of him. It disassembles to fit back into cutouts in the original box. I pray it survives the trip.
Thanks everyone for the fine kudos.

And the engine, which is a model all by itself, sitting on the loading cart.
Hope you all like her.

Here is my recently finished 1/32 F-16 Block 50. Another older kit, but also a testament to Tamiya's quality. Excuse some of the photos, still learning my new camera.

I really like what you've done. First rigging job as well.... your results are inspiration indeed..!
Did you make your own turnbuckles or buy Bob's ones?
I must dive into one of my WNW kits sooner rather than later..
Matt
Yeah Matt, these are Bob's Buckles. I think I lost more than I used, LOL.

Have to say how cosy that looks Paul. Don't know who Brad is but I kept looking for the boxes with my name on them - I think I spotted it on the Revell U-Boat and the Schnellboot. Don't worry about the Flower Class Corvette - if that's a reboot of the Matchbox one then, thanks any way but I've built that.
Serious, nice space to settle down and get on with some building.
Grant, lol, brad isn't a person. That is an air brad nailer to go along with a finisher and a stapler.
Thanks guys.
Martin, I know the elavator in that booth lead down into a cavernous system of work rooms.

Here is my work area. It's a mess right now but it's my mess, totally. Fairly large and even bigger when I take the time to move the table saw out and into the basement proper. This is adjacent to the basement proper, which gives me more room to work. Right now I am building my own spray booth with suction.
And some of my stash.
So this is where I keep my sanity. And it stays down here, safe and sound.

Here is a source for EZ-Line in different sizes AND colors. $12.95 a spool as opposed to WNW at $16.00

I just love this build and it's a mini tutorial. I learned a lot just from this so far. Great job. I like the use of the oils on the spinner, that is superb. I have a question. Since I have a set of tube acrylic paints, like oils, can these be used to do this also? I have oils too, but can the same kind of work be done with acrylics?

The way the discussions were going about the forums future lately, I thought I might be getting some, LOL.

But why do some people have that on their profile and some not. I understand the demerit part well enough. I think willy was asking why only a few?

I have that too Willy. I never bothered to ask why. But yeah, Why?

Edit: Oops, a little late. Meaning?

Nice find... What's the web address? and do they ship internationally?
Dave, I am sure Cabella's will ship anywhere. It is a very well known sporting goods chain. They had a 6 spool assortment for $9.99
I also found it on Ebay starting at 1.99/spool

Cool find Panderson!
Only thing I have with fishing rod is that it's not as forceable and 'permanent' as copper wire...
or did I miss something and it's not something similar as fishing rod?
With regards, Ninetalis.
Ninetalis, I am holding a spool in my hand. It is metal wire .012/.3mm in diameter. I have no idea how they color it. But I twisted it, folded it and it seems pretty strong to me. I guess it's primary use is for fly tying. I will be using it to wire up my Me 262's front office and gun bay. I will post pics.

I found this online and bought an assorted color pack from Cabella's. The medium is .012/.3mm and the fine is probably half that. I think this would be great for wiring purposes. I got Black, Yellow, Green, Gold, Red, Magenta for $10.00.

Nice work to get back in the saddle, the decals do look great. So did you take the masks off, forgot and then shot the dull coat? That had to be a bummer.
OMG, I did that once, LOL
jbyrne629,
Nice job, welcome back to the hobby. Feels good doesn't it.

Thanks James. I had to double check, it was Italeri but the scale is actually 1/12. My bad. I f I am not mistaken, it got passed around from Esci, AMT, then Italeri. There is also an F-104 Starfighter cockpit too. I wish there were more front offices like this.

Another I did a while back. Tamiya's A6M2b Zero. As far as a quality build goes, this kit was a foretelling of things to come. I hope you like her.
The antenna got broke off during my move to Jersey.

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for just a cockpit build. Please move if necessary. This is Italeri's 1/16 cockpit. I also want to do the F-104 cockpit later down the road.
I love model's like this. This was another fun build that was done a while ago.

There is no link to a WIP because this is the first forum I have actively participated in. But I built this over a year ago. It is Academy's 1/48 Super Stallion
I hope you all like her. She was a pleasure to build. I have a few helicopter kits I will be doing. I will post WIP's for those.

Awesome job Jeroen, really. So much talent here. I'm glad I found this place. Will certainly watch your next build.

As far as I know, neutron bombs kill people and leave infrastructure relatively intact. But that is a relative term.
From Wikipedia:
Neutron bombs are purposely designed with explosive yields lower than other nuclear weapons.[citation needed] Since neutrons are absorbed by air,[citation needed]
even a high-yield neutron bomb is not able to radiate neutrons beyond its blast range and so would theoretically have no destructive advantage
over a normal hydrogen bomb. However, the intense pulse of high-energy neutrons that is generated is intended as the principal
killing mechanism, not the fallout, heat or blast. Although neutron bombs are commonly believed to "leave the infrastructure intact",
current designs have explosive yields in the kiloton range,[20] the detonation of which would cause considerable destruction through blast and heat effects.Neutron bombs could be used as strategic anti-ballistic missile weapons or as tactical weapons intended for use against armored forces.[citation needed] The neutron bomb was originally conceived by the U.S. military as a weapon that could stop massed Soviet armored divisions from overrunning allied nations without destroying the infrastructure of the allied nation.[21]

WNW Sopwith Pup RNAS with 1/6 Le Rhone Engine
in The Great War GB
Posted
Alright, time to enter my build for the Great War GB. The venerable 1/32 Wingnut Wings Sopwith Pup RNAS along with the Williams Brothers 1/6 Le Rhone engine that powered her. This will be my first entry, done as a set. It will be on a wood display stand, yet to be designed. It will be done in the "Betty" scheme, in honor of my mother, Elizabeth.
