YOU have a DC3 NEXT in line......... none of this fighter stuff, slow old transport will do....
He started that 190 months ago, and in Ernie's defense he has a couple dozen things next in line.

nothing purdy about the thick spine and humpback fuel tanks .
You can strap a turd to an F-16 being flown by an ex soviet block country and it will give this westerner a chubby!

So, really in NATO only Canada and the USA are flying F-18s? Or is Spain still?

Interesting. You’d think they’d still be extremely relevant in the real world.
USAF and Luftwaffe pilots describe a world class dogfighter that, with Western avionics, Radar, fire control, etc, would be a force to be reckoned with. Of course, that was 10 years ago and the day of the dogfighter is long gone
Gobble up fuel like there is no tomorrow, no refueling probes.

They were sold to Poland and if I am not mistaken, were recently grounded and replaced by F-16 batch 70+

Air Force is planning to buy 80 brand new F-15X's which is an all new package, that would be a smart purchase.

I guess the current government realized that they cannot exclude F-35 if they want to have an open competition. If I am not mistaken the end of May 2019 was established as the official start of the competition.
Federal election is coming up in October and it looks even grimmer that the last one in the US.
Boeing
Lockheed Martin
Airbus
Dassult
SAAB
Fortunately with the Navy's retirement of the legacy Hornet there are a lot more spare parts down here. I talked with a Superhornet pilot at length at Travis airshow, and he loved those old school bugs. Said he was at a Boeing plant just recently and they were actually making new wings for them! I have a huge soft spot for them as well.

Thankfully the rotation never dropped here yesterday but it looks like we've got round 2 coming this afternoon. I'm used to spring shenanigans as a born and raised southerner, but I can't help but wonder what all the Californians moving here think of our Spring weather. They certainly don't get storms topping out at 70,000' out there.
I witnessed a tornado made of fire like that last summer

The guy from POF actually said Tamiya will have a booth with modeling demos and kits.

Sounds like it could be a real symbiotic relationship for sure.

I was just watching a live video from Planes of Fame in Chino where they are prepping all their aircraft for the annual airshow, and learned that Tamiya is sponsoring their airshow this year!! I'm not sure if they have done this before, but pretty cool to learn that they are doing this. Hopefully they were researching some stuff!

It would be more challenging for you, Martin, if we did an OOB group build!
