  1. Hello John, I have a question for you. Since the Aires cockpit floor has no locating rails for the wing spar, the Revell cockpit floor has them to glue the wing spar to, do the slots in the fuselage give adequate gluing area to secure the wing brace ? Are there marks on the brace to center the wing spar correctly? Any info in this regard will be very helpful to me. Thank you for any input in this matter. Mike Horina
  2. Hi Rick, A few questions if I may. What is the yellow brush you used for the CA when you were reinforcing the dolly? Can it be used more than one time, before going hard? Where did you buy it? Thanks in advance Mike Horina
  3. Steve & Mike, The old Broken Eagles 2 calls it out as Blue. Its the same photo that you gave. That's not my feeling just some trivia. But I do agree that it probably is a Erla though because of the top of side panel being almost a straight line where the panel is missing in the back of the cowl gun panel. Though the painting on the Eagle Editions sheet is a more accurate depiction of the color separations compared to the color profile in the Broken Eagle Mike Horina
  4. The Hasegawa 109G-14 kit is not a G14AS. If you like the Hasegawa 109G-10 rear spine you could use that kit provided you had a set of small wheel bulges to make 14AS . Of course if it takes a while for you to finish, Revell will probably release a 14AS. Mike Horina
  5. Cees, Sorry it took this long to get back. Not magic just some plastic pieces ,super glue and Milliput. One side at a time. If I remember correctly one side is worse than the other. Work slow and allow things to dry and cure otherwise you stress and develop cracks. When /if cracks develop I used more Milliput to fill and correct. I know not much help you just have to go slow. Mike Horina
  6. Hi Cees, Thanks for the welcome. Sorry I'm not a camera person, in fact the photos I posted were taken at a club meeting to be put on the club's site from a club contest. As to the mating of the wing to the fuselage I used white Milliput (spelling) because its so easy to even out with water before it cures fully. By the way I think PCM did a nice job on the Griffon bulges. Any thoughts on those? Vacform or cast to use on a Hase MkV to get to a MkXII? Mike Horina
  7. Cees, You miss read the article. The link I provided is my build. Here's what I used PCM Mk IXC fuselage, cockpit and tailplanes with Revell Mk22/24 wings and landing gear and RB Mk14 Griffon nose, prop, intake, and vertical stabilizer and rudder. Mike Horina
  8. Cees, Spitfire 21 possible? You may want to look here http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=30473 It could look like that. Mike Horina
