I have always preshaded in (NATO) black, works a treat.
I feel the preshading helps washes too...meaning they help visually blend the wash into the shadow.
On tank kits I preshade in the rubber wheel color to help painting them later.

I have not seen this before.
Seems are best dealt with super glue, with Tamiya putty only used in small amounts.

Solvent based putty is better, but it works well for "caulk" type jobs where you need a quick fill that you don't have to sand.
Sanding is where it falls apart, that's best left to solvent style types....Tamiya grey being the best in my opinion.

Some days ago I released my years ago started build of the WNW Pfalz off the SOD and started some work. It is my first WNW build and it will be a learning experience for my others in stash.
What keeps me fascinated other then the great quality of their kits, is the possibility to transform plastic into lots of different materials like wood, leather, cloth, metal. A little sub interest in my modelling is to represent materials as best as possibly, not always to be crowned with success, but hey, the Pfalz is my canvas at the moment. My first wooden propeller turned out ok, I like the result. After a sand colored coat, I masked with 0,75 mm strips of Kabuki (Maketar pre cut) and added the red brown Colour. After demasking I used AK's weathering pencils to add some grain detail and overcoated everything with Tamiya clear orange.
If somebody has a clue about mixing the Pfalz typical Colour of silver white for wings and fudselage, feel free to enlighten me.
Cheers Rob
NOTHING wrong with this, very nice.

Hopefully not the Johnny Cab. Although that would fit with the Tesla's Autopilot and all.
I just love that movie.

For 200 grand, I hope to Hell one gets BETTER glass ! IF the one they show was the sales product................ ah........................ thanks but no thanks.................as I'm NOT an auto designer or an expert by any means what so ever, but it is the WRONG color to start with, it should have been a 'High Impact' color to grab you attention, has ugly wheels, and wheels can make or break a vehicle, and it looks like a 4 year old designed the shape...................... sorry to rain on anyone's parade or dream ride, but for me IF I were to drop 200K ( IF I had 200k to start with ) this certainly wouldn't be first on my list, and I won't even get into the un-drivability for us in the cold winters over the long mountain roads....... do they have any range yet? Naw........... I'll stay on "Greta's" naughty list and keep my new Tahoe......besides when every one gets the electric trucks there will be MORE cheap gas for my rig...................
I'm no stranger to truck ridicule, I have had (2) FJ Cruisers and currently own a Ridgline.
The design is certainly polarizing, but I find it pretty cool.

Hehe Jeff, the pricing is from $40K-$70K.
Range is claimed to be 250 to 500 miles depending on the model selected.

It makes me think of the 90's Total Recall movie.
I will need to upgrade the garage for it though.

This will be my first EV for sure.
It's going to be quite a wait though, I got in around the 200K mark,
There seems to be a lot of storage for kits at model shows!

Got some Reskit wheels for some of my stash queens ...
- The OV-10
- The P-51 I want to make as a racer ...
The F-105 D got an addition to an-ever growing list of AM (until I find the resolve to tackle it and redo a correct windshield/canopy )
And finally, got myself an anticipated Christmas present
This is the 2-in-1 set, with 2 needles and nozzles (0.15 and 0.4 mm) and two cups (2 and 5 ml). Did some fondling already : I understand why this brand is in such high praise. Everything oozes (German) quality

Thanks for the review.
Most of the schemes will be tricky as you need to blend the dark overall finish over the lozenge at the tail. At least that's how i see it.

Advice on Tiger I kit?

I'd go with Tamiya and use their Zimm set. It does include separate track links.
